I’m a sucker for romance stories, plain and simple. There is just something about them that will bring a smile to my face. You know the ones that I’m talking about, the books you pick up when you’re having a really bad day and you just want something sweet to read. That is the case with Tattoo Thief.

While you would think with the title it wouldn’t be a romance but it is, on many different levels. I completely enjoyed watching the relationship between Beryl and Gavin grow. And I think the one thing that I enjoyed the most about it is they got to know each other FIRST. Their entire relationship was done either on the phone or internet. They had no reason to lie to each other, so they were completely honest.

My only complaint, I guess you could say that I have, is when it came to them meeting in person. How quickly they hooked up. But then again I suppose they are both consenting adults so more power to them!

I enjoyed Gavin’s character because he had a lot of depth to him, more than you would expect from your typical rock star. And I think that that made him stand out a lot from other rock stars.

Beryl’s character, to me it felt like there was more time spent on Gavin’s character than hers. We didn’t’ really get to learn a whole lot about her because there was so much going on with Gavin.

Overall, I did completely enjoy this story and to me it’s another must read if you enjoy romances!

Rockstar + tattooed + sweet on the inside + some sort of emotional issues = a fabulous book

Beryl is given an opportunity by a family friend to move to New York with him and work for him. She does, much to her mother's dismay and is soon house-sitting for Gavin, the aforementioned rock star. Who is in a band called Tattoo Thief.

He lost his muse, Lulu, and took off to the other side of the world. Beryl doesn't like him much at first but as they start to talk and chat online, she starts to learn who he is and why he hurts. Beryl is the only one able to reach out to him, and she tries to try to heal him.

Beryl goes out with her friend Stella and goes on a couple unsuccessful dates but the whole time she is falling for Gavin. Eventually he comes home and then they are rocked by a betrayal that you will not expect.

Gavin is truly a wounded soul but you are rooting for him the whole way. Even when you find out why he left. I loved the tiny bit we got of the band mates and I'm excited to read Stella and Tyler's story.
