Ava Sterling is tough
and the most straight laced girl you will ever meet. Her family and her
past have managed to alter her future permanently and she has no desire
to allow anyone else into her life or her heart for fear of rejection or
further altering. Ava is alone in the world with the exception of the
grandest responsibility she did not create on her own but on her own she
will carry for the rest of her life.
Declan James is a MMA fighter, party all night kind of guy. Responsibility is nowhere to be found in his life or so he allows everyone around him to believe. Coming from wealth and a carefree lifestyle, Declan gets what he wants, always. And what he wants is Ava. In his pursuit of getting what he wants, Ava in his bed, his plan changes quickly without his consent. Against his plans of being the next hot bachelor to cross the tabloids as he makes his way to being the Ultimate Light Heavyweight Champion, Declan falls in love. He falls in love without hesitation and without doubt.
Neither Declan nor Ava are aware that fate has inconveniently intertwined their lives forever. Will they be able to survive the aftermath of the truth?

I like book titles that can inspire a lot of puns while
writing a review. I mean, without doubt,
this could be one of those books. I
doubt I can make it work though the whole review, but don’t doubt my ability to
try and go without. Har-har.
I’ve become a big fan of MMA heroes over the last year or
so, which without doubt had me excited to read this book. Declan is an up and coming MMA fighter who
becomes, beyond a shadow of a doubt, enamored with the lovely Ava. The problem
is that Ava isn’t having it. She doubts
her ability to let people in and give them the time that is needed to actually
have a relationship with a person.
Declan will not go without, he has his sights set on Ava and he is not
giving up. Ava eventually caves and sets
her doubts aside, only for both she and Declan to be blindsided by a
revelation. Can they move past their
doubts and be together, or will they learn to live without each other? Without doubt, you find out! (And now, I even
rhyme!)
I enjoyed this book.
There were a few things about it that I wish would have gone a little
deeper. I would have liked to have
learned more about Ava’s past. Like, why
is she so against marriage? I’m not sure
I ever really understood her reasoning.
Having said that, I felt like the writing had the kind of flow that
really got me involved in the book pretty much from the beginning. I was
intrigued by the characters and wanted to find out more about the. I loved reading about the pursuit of Ava by
Declan. He is one seriously hot and
demanding dude. Another thing that I
appreciated about this book is that it doesn’t have that instant love
factor. That gets so overused and it
rarely works in my opinion. Ava and
Declan definitely have instant lust, though, and I’m all for that! Hot, hot, hot!
I did think that the plot of this book was going to be
totally predictable. I was only half
right. I pretty much guessed what Ava’s
big secret is from the beginning, but there is a major twist in there that I
did not see coming. I won’t ruin it for
anyone, but I basically had to pick my jaw up off the floor. I’m rarely caught off guard as an avid
reader, but wow…this caught me off guard.
Overall, this was a solid book. As I said, I wished it had gotten a bit more
involved in certain aspects of the characters’ backstories, but it’s an
enjoyable and well-written read. 4
non-doubting, without doubt even, stars from me!
CJ has lived all over the state of California, Central,
South, North and finally landing back somewhere in the middle. She married the
boy she fell for when she was only eleven years old and together they have two
beautiful heathens. CJ obviously loves to read and write. She can watch the
Giant’s play baseball but hates football. She bakes when she’s sad, runs when
she’s mad and dances when she’s happy (even if she cant find a rhythm to save
her life) If you’re looking for her and can’t seem to find her, look on the
staircase, it’s her favorite spot to read.
