Eternal Echoes, By Anastasia Virgas

Ariston Dago is a sentry, a protector for his people. He watches the waters of his territory, keeping his god and his race safe both above and below the murky depths around Venice, Italy. When he’s compelled to save a human that falls from a transport, his life is forever changed, because the human he saves, Teagan Moss, is his mate, the first human to ever mate a Dagonite.

Teagan Moss is the kind of woman to shoot first and then question the body later. When she wakes with a Hydro bomb strapped to her body, she knows someone is going to pay for trying to kill her, and that she is going to need the help of the sexy exotic Dagonite to find out who exactly needs that bullet in their brain. What she doesn't count on, is the scorching attraction she feels for the male who is so certain she is his.

Thrust into solving the mystery surrounding the attempt on his mate’s life, Ari and Teagan uncover more than the answers they are looking for, and the truths they unearth could send the world into another war.

Out of the massive hundreds, probably thousands of books that I have read in my lifetime, I have never once read a book about an Octopus Shifter.  And I have to say, I am so glad that I read this book!  But it was just amazingly well done.  When it comes to shifter books, there is that fine line between what could actually be real and what is completely made up.
When I first started this book and I realized that it about Octopus Shifters, I sat there and started thinking about it.  I was wondering if when they shifted they had the octopus head and the human legs.  (Let me tell you, caused some freaky thoughts!)  But I do have to say with the way that the author described the way that they shifted, it was done extremely well.
The different characters in the book, Air and Teagan, were both written very well.  Teagan’s character, I want to be just like her when I grow up.  She is completely bad ass and is willing to do what it takes to protect the people that she cares about.  Ari, he is just a cutie.  I enjoyed his character a lot.  He is probably one of my favorite Main Male Character in the paranormal world.  Just because of his personality, where he is fun, loving and caring but you also know he will hurt you if you upset him.
I liked the amount of details that the author went into when it came to explaining the whole mating process.  Because trust you me, I was kinda wondering how exactly that would happen.  And I think that with how the story could have went; she did an amazing job when it came to explaining what was going on.  Honestly, it could have been explained a heck of a lot cruder but she didn’t take it to that level.  For that, I give her mad props because in my opinion if she would have done that it would have ruined the story.
Overall, this is another one that if you love paranormal you need to read this book.  And even if you don’t love paranormal, you need to read this book!
