**This book contains Male Male Relations**
After six long months
in rehab, Navy Veteran Tyler Hardin received his medical discharge and
heads west to visit with his mentor and surrogate father, only to arrive
minutes after his old friend passes. Ranch owner Cass Cartwright takes
one look at the handsome stranger and knows he's in danger of doing the
one thing he swore never to do: fall in love. Cass works to convince
Tyler to overcome his past and give a relationship with another man a
chance, even while someone is working to sabotage his ranch and his one
true chance at love.
This book is one of the few books that while reading has
brought tears to my eyes. I actually had
to put the book down because I was so upset about what Ty had been
through. Let me tell you, it was
horrible and I so wish I could tell you, but I don’t want to give anything
away.
Just because I’m saying that it made me cry doesn’t mean
that you shouldn’t read this book. It is
a great book and you should read it.
While this book was on the shorter end of what I had been
reading recently, it was still a really good read to me. I loved the idea of the ranch that everyone
is welcome there and they don’t care about a person’s sexuality. I also enjoyed how the book was not
completely about that. There was more to
the story than a bunch of hot sexy cowboys getting it on with each other.
Cass’s character, although what you do see of him, he was
really nice and sweet, but I wish we would have been able to learn more about
his past and history. We learn a lot of
the big things that Ty had been through that have shaped him into who he
is. But you don’t learn that much about
Cass.
An issue that I had was with Roy. I felt really let down because I had hoped we
would be able to find out more about him and Gibby since Gibby was such a big
influence in Ty’s life. It seemed like
after the beginning of the story, Roy just disappeared.
But even taking all that into consideration, I still think
this was a great book and it was a must read from me.
