Grieving from a tragic loss, a deeply depressed Dahlia retreats with her
sister Lily and best friend Vi to a sun-soaked Indonesian paradise to
heal. There, she meets soulful surfer Kai, who's seeking to escape from
the demons of his own past. Can the spiritual and physical connection
between them put back together the pieces of Dahlia's shattered heart?
Dahlia and Lily are back!
Dahlia is reeling from a recent loss, so she closes ranks with Lily and
Vi and goes on vacation to the Indonesia looking for some solace. Does she find it? That’s anyone guess. But what she does find is the hot surfer Kai
to help take her mind off of things.
He’s fighting demons of his own.
Can he help Dahlia heal, and himself too?
Dahlia is such a tragic character. To me she always has been. And this book is 90-some pages of intensity
and revelations that will leave you reeling yourself! Dang.
Seriously. I didn’t know it was
possible to pack that much into a relatively short story. I can’t go into it without giving too much
away, but this is the kind of book in series that you wait for, because it gives
SO MUCH information! Dahlia is really
struggling to forgive herself for past transgressions so she can move
forward. She’s a character you start out
hating but as you know her more, you realize she’s not truly terrible. Mixed up and lost, yes, but not a terrible
human being. I look forward to finishing
her journey. 4 stars.

Here we find the conclusion to Dahlia’s story, and it’s a
whopper! A bit unrealistic at time, I
thought, but nonetheless a great conclusion to a good series.
Dahlia has discovered the betrayal of her Mother and Shane
and now must seek to find not only herself, but in doing so recover what was
taken from her. With the help of Thomas,
she takes a harrowing journey from London and Paris. Can she right what was done wrong and finally
forgive herself and move forward with her life?
This book followed the rest with the action-packed
theme! There was not a moments rest, for
the reader or for Dahlia. She is a
determined lady, and quite brave as well, as she seeks out the truth to free
herself from her past. This book really
did tie up the trilogy nicely, and answered all the questions I know I had
going into it. I like it when books do
that, it leaves me with a warm feeling inside.
I feel complete, and that the journey I went along with Dahlia on is
finished.
We met some new characters in this book as well, and I smell
another series featuring Thomas and Marissa as well. Oh, please, please!!!!
Overall, I enjoyed this series and this final
installment. It took me a few places I
wasn’t really expecting. 4 stars.
Vivian Winslow was born and raised in Southern California. Before becoming a writer, she made a career out of moving around the world every couple of years thanks to her husband’s job. She currently lives in New York City with her husband and two elementary school age children, and is grateful to finally have a place to call home for more than two years. New York is the perfect city to indulge her love of shopping, the arts and especially food.
If she’s not at home writing or running around the city with her kids, you’ll most likely find her indulging in pizza on the Lower East Side or having a cocktail at her favorite bar in Alphabet City. That said, she’s still a California girl at heart and would gladly trade in her heels for a pair of flip-flops to catch a sunset on the beach. .
