Trevor Mayson
had his life planned out - make the family business successful and play
the field for a few more years before eventually settling down. Then he
sees her. Liz Hayes was beautiful, shy and everything that he could ever
want...but she didn't fit into his plans. After Trevor painfully
rejects her, Liz finally starts to move on, but Trevor is finding it
difficult to truly let her go. It seems the more he tries to stay away,
the more intense his feelings for her become. Like a stretched rubber
band, he can only take so much before snapping.
Liz
Hayes is done waiting for Trevor and isn't interested in getting her
heart broken by him again, but Trevor is making it difficult for her to
forget him when he shoves his way back into her life.
Can Trevor prove to her that he is worth falling
in love with again, and is he ready to change his life plan to let her
into his heart?
I enjoyed the previous book in this series, and I was
intrigued to find out more about what was hinted about between Trevor and
Liz. The Mayson boys are pretty tempting;
I’m excited to read more about all of them!
In this installment, we get deeper into the relationship
between Trevor Mayson and Liz. Liz is
one of November’s friends, and so she was thrown together with Trevor a
lot. They became friends and then one
night, with some alcohol involved, they cross the line into being more than
friends. There is a HUGE
misunderstanding, however, and their friendship suffers. Trevor pretty much rejects Liz, and she kind
of shuts down since she’s been pretty much rejected her whole life. Plus, she’s got some family issues she’s
trying to deal with and a crisis at her business. The problem is that Trevor realizes Liz is
his “one”, so he finally stops fighting his feelings and pursues her. She’s not interested in getting her heart
broken again by him and resists. Can Trevor
win her back?
I think I may have liked Trevor and Liz’s story more than
the previous book, but I still found that same issue with the speed at which
their relationship went, though not as much as in the first. My real problem with this book was the jump
it took in time. All of the sudden, it
fasts forward in the story in a pretty pivotal moment in order to, I assume,
accelerate the plot. That left me
scratching my head a feeling a bit cheated.
That was my only real problem with the story. I liked Trevor and Liz and I got their
attraction and pull towards one another.
And I think I can say without ruining anything that his first marriage
proposal was for me both endearing and ridiculous. One of the funniest parts of the story,
besides a certain part with one of Trevor’s former ladies, that is!
The plot, except for the large jump in time, was pretty
exciting. I wasn’t really sure where it
was going to go, but the drama at the end is pretty fantastic, and the
resolution in the story was touching. It
was a good read. I give it a solid 4
stars! Bring on the next Mayson brother!

My eyes narrow. “If you ever even think about spanking me, I'm going to beat the crap out of you, Trevor.” His eyebrow rises. “You think you can take me?” “No.” I shrug. “But I will give it my best shot.” His smile is so devastating that it takes my breath. “When you’re giving it your best shot, are our clothes on or off?”Aurora Rose Reynolds is a navy brat whose husband served in the United States Navy. November is looking
forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town.
After leaving the Big Apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November
starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books. The one
time she’s allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson.
He’s perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions. November
wants nothing to do with Asher but too bad for November, fate has other
plans.
Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman, that is until November. Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.
Warning 18+ sexual content and a strong Alpha Male.

As I’m sure you know, I’m a big alpha male fan, but I’m a
picky one. There’s a fine line between
alpha and douchebag, and I’m happy to say that Asher Mayson falls firmly into
the good alpha, non-douchebag territory.
November has returned to her hometown in Tennessee. She moves in with her father, and begins
doing the books for his business, which just so happens to be a strip
club. She goes in during club hours once
and meets Asher, who assumes that she’s a stripper. Not a great way to start things off! However, they do get to know one another
eventually and Asher decides that November is his “one”, and does anything and
everything to get her. At the same time
Asher is trying to make her his, November begins to receive strange messages. It seems she is being stalked. Will Asher and November find love, and if
they do, will November be safe?
I liked this book. I
found it interesting and I found Asher to be a very delicious sort of alpha
male. He’s sexy and he knows what he
wants. The one thing that bothered me a
bit in this book is the insta-love. I
really didn’t understand why things between Asher and November escalated so
quickly. I realize that he’s a badass
alpha and all, but I had a hard time buying the speed at which their relationship
developed.
The characters were really what drove this story for me, and
the plot was exciting and mysterious. I
really didn’t know who was responsible for the stalking until the end, and that
was something I appreciated. A solid 4
star read!
