Rachael is a stay at home mom with 2 young daughters and a husband that keep her constantly on her toes. She lives in the extremely hot state of Arizona, where she reads and writes away the blistering heat outside. She is a cancer survivor with a quirky personality. She’s been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and been writing since she was in high school. Her hopes of being a writer were crushed when she was young but one day she decided she was going to do what makes her happy and that was to write.

Holy cow…this book was so hot I think my retinas got burned
up a bit. Yowza! It’s been a while since I’ve read such erotic
erotica. Yes, I just made up that term.
Yearning Devotion
is quite the rollercoaster ride. In it,
we meet Gwen. She’s had a pretty
traumatic life, and has worked hard to move on from terrible things in her
past. Her girlfriend McKayla has really
helped her heal through her love and support, but things get a bit complicated
when Cole Cressley enters the picture.
Gwen doesn’t trust men, but there is something about Cole that captures
her from the get-go. Now, let the hot
F/F, F/F/M and F/M action begin!
One of the things I enjoyed the most about this book was the
way the plot unfolds. You start to
assume you know one thing about a character, and then you are given information
that completely changes your mind. The
twists and the turns of this book will keep you invested. It’s a page turner. It was also a very emotional read. As you find out what happened to Gwen, you
start to feel more and more for her. I
really connected with all the characters, which for me makes the read that much
more enjoyable. And the sex…oh lawdy,
the sex. This author really knew how to
find the right balance. The story is not
all sex, but the sex just really enhances the story, which is at its core a
love story (though not the sappy kind!) driven by good characters and a well
thought out plot line. Plus, the sex is
hot. FLAMING. What can I say? You’ll thank me after you read this, as will
your significant other. I will warn you
that this book does have a cliffhanger, so we’re going to have to wait for the
next book in order to find out what happens.
I am eagerly awaiting the next book…yeah, I’m talkin’ to you, Rachael
Orman! Don’t let that keep you from
buying and reading this book, though. I
am personally a bit sick of the cliffhanger storyline, but this book is well
worth it! A solid 4.5 star read for me!
