Emory faces life’s challenges at the one place that never failed her, the ballet barre. But even the barre can’t steady her when fate brings her face-to-face with her old college flame, Mason, who’s hoping to return to the NFL after a career-threatening injury. Before they can surrender to their sexual desires and find salvation in each other’s arms, they need to come to terms with their past. Mason must confront the demons that have set him on a path of self-destruction, while Emory must decide whether to keep her painful secrets locked away, or expose them and risk losing the love of her life. But nothing can prepare Mason for what Emory has kept hidden, or the possibility that he himself may be to blame for the very secrets she keeps and why they continue to haunt her.
I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it.
This is the story of Emory and Mason, college lovers who split up and reunited later in life but with a lot of baggage.
Emory is a retired ballet dancer who is moving on with her life. I felt that a lot of Emory’s actions are very hypocritical and it made me not like her as a character too much.  You can’t demand a man not keep secrets from you when you are keeping a monumental one there chickie!  And to me, that made me not like her even more.

Mason is an NFL quarterback who had one last shot at a contract because of a shoulder injury. I also have mixed feelings about Mason, I am not really sure how I expected him to be, yet he didn’t seem to measure up in my opinion.
This book has a lot of Christian elements in in and a lot of Scripture and church in case that would bother you.
The story is well told and there are no editing errors that I saw.
“So, little miss, want to fess up to what you were doing yesterday?”
“Well, it depends,” she said. “Before or after, I threw my half-naked body at Mason?”
Wesley dropped the knife. “Excuse me?”
Tomรกs raised his eyebrows and gave her a smile. “It was just for a little while,” she said playfully.
“How little?” Wesley munched on his biscuit.
“Not too long.”
“How naked?”
“I told you -- about half.”
“Which half?”
“A little of both.”
“Both breasts?”
“No. Top and bottom.”
“Is that so?” Wesley took a sip of his drink, thoughtfully considering what she’d said, like he was some kind of philosopher. “Any action?”
“I tried.”
“How hard?”
“Pretty hard.”
“Was he?” Wesley grinned at Tomรกs and took another bite of his biscuit.
“Shut up,” she said blushing. “We decided it was best to take things slow.”
“That’s too bad,” Wesley said, and Tomรกs slapped his arm. “In all seriousness, I’m happy for you.”
“Me too,” Emory said, rising from the table with her and Tomรกs’ plates.
Wesley grabbed her shoulder and whispered in her ear, “Did you tell him?” Emory shook her head walking to the sink, and Wesley shot her a disapproving look. Tomรกs eyed them both curiously. “He deserves to know!”
Tomรกs mouthed to Wesley, “Know what?” Wesley shook his head that it was none of his business.
“No lectures, Wesley.” She scrubbed the plates. “Let me enjoy myself and Mason before I ruin it.”
“You need to stop running,” Wesley said.
“I’ll stop when you stop.”

Remember When Three, By T. Torrest

"I’d spent too long in limbo.
It was time to put The California Plan back into effect."
~Layla Warren

I’ve been in love with Trip Wiley since I was sixteen years old.
Yep. That Trip Wiley.
Academy award-winning actor, known philanthropist, People’s Sexiest Man Alive two years running…
Yeah.
It’s not like I’m some delusional stalker-fan. It just so happens that he was my high school sweetheart back in 1991.
In the years since, he’s simply been The One That Got Away.
We just can’t seem to get on the same page at the same time.
Our timing may have sucked, but the feelings had already been confirmed. Years ago.
At least his were.
He doesn’t know that I had chosen to love him back.
I need to fix that.
And I need to do it now.

Remember When 3 is the third and final book in the Remember Trilogy.
It’s a story about taking chances and following your heart…
and knowing that sometimes, you just have to learn when to let go.

**Intended for ages 18+ due to some questionable language and graphic sex.**

I am so so so happy to finally be reading the conclusion to this amazing trilogy.. and I wonder if it really was the conclusion???
This follows the continuing story of Trip and Layla.  Even if it was caused by a death, I’m glad they finally reconnected and Layla had a chance to explain things to Trip.
This book really fleshed out the end for me, and wrapped up a lot of things that were previously left hanging.  The author did a fabulous job of tying up all those loose ends while still giving you a completely new story and the last chapter in the saga that is Trip and Layla.
Your heart will completely break and be put back together again and you will find yourself screaming at the characters, no don’t do that.. and yet you know they are going to do it anyway, and it’s going to end badly… and it does.. and then yet they seem to do what you expect them to do anyway!
Full of emotion, this will keep you turning the pages and being sad when it is over.  I can only hope that these characters will be revisited, especially with the book ending the way it did… I can hope.

Love's Interception, By N. Kuhn

Brianna Woods spent her high school years getting picked on for being different. After being the butt of a joke from her crush and the mean girl in school, she graduates then moves cross country to reinvent herself. She spends years in LA modeling before moving home for a chance to be on the cheerleading squad for NFL team Buffalo Bucks.

Brent Coleson was the star quarterback in high school, college and now for the Buffalo Bucks. When the one that got away falls back into his life, he'll stop at nothing to keep her there this time. He's had eyes only for Bree since high school.

Can these two fix years of misunderstandings and damage without losing their NFL careers?

One thing I enjoyed about this book was the different POV’s that happened in the story.  I think that N. Kuhn did really well at switching between the two and it added to the story.  Brianna was written very well in my opinion.  She is trying out to be a NFL cheerleader when she runs into someone from her past, Brent Coleson.
Being able to let go of the past is something that Brianna has to learn to do, especially if she wants a future with Brent.  But things aren’t always what they seem and the past comes back to haunt them once again.
This was a good read and I highly recommend it.

Our faces were so close at this point that our noses slightly brushing against one another when either of us moved. Matthew slowly raised his hand and brushed the back of it across my cheek as we stared into each other’s eyes. Closing my eyes I let out a long, slow sigh. This was my Matthew…the loving boy I used to know. If only time could be rewound and things could take place differently. I was lost in thought when I felt Matthew’s damp lips press against mine. Shock raced through my mind as I let out a gasp. My eyes flew open in response as I found myself slightly pushing back from him. Then I watched Matthew shut down. Hurt followed by anger flashed across his face faster than I could count to three. He was back on his feet shaking his head violently back and forth. “No…No … NO!!!! I KNEW IT!!!” he yelled louder and louder. “Matthew, wait…” I reached for him as I tried to stand but the coldness in his eyes froze me where I sat.

Hannah and Abby are best friends and roommates at college.  Hannah's friend Jason and Xavier are the other main characters.  Hannah and Abby go out with Jason one evening and Hannah realizes that she is in love with Jason but isn't sure he feels the same way.  She flirts with a bouncer which freaks Jason out and he expresses his feelings for her.  Abby's boyfriend Alex shows up while she is making out with Xavier and there is a huge fight at the bar.  Something happens to Abby and much of the rest of the book is consumed with that.. so I can't tell you what happens.  I hate spoilers, don't you??  :)
This book is very well written, the characters are nicely developed and there's a couple good twists in it.  It's a bit suspenseful in parts, and the author did a great job with flashback scenes and making you think things only to find out you were completely wrong.
I'm not sure if she's turning this into a series or not, but either way, I am super excited to read more books by this author.
