I have been looking forward to Kenzie and Porter’s story for a long time! As a HUGE Club Sin Series fan (and an even bigger Stacey Kennedy fan), this story did NOT disappoint me!

Kenzie is Club Sin’s resident submissive. She loves to push the limits with the Masters and is not afraid of their punishment. She is bratty and does not want to get close to anyone. Including any Master. Porter wants to be a Master at Club Sin and has some difficult work to do in order to pass the others’ test – tame Kenzie and get her to truly sub to him.

Like any other book in this series, the “scenes” are scorching HOT!! But, what sets this story apart is that Kenzie is so hurt and damaged, yet she won’t let anyone close enough to comfort her. She uses her attitude as a shield to push everyone away. But, Porter pushes past and she begins to submit to him.

While this story can be read as a stand-alone, I HIGHLY recommend you start at the beginning of the series. Each couple/character is featured in more than one book, creating an amazing world in Club Sin. They are all well worth the time to read!

I enjoy all the above and really enjoyed this story, however we have a lot of characters so this is not one you can skim or read while doing other things. It’s not complicated just involved. The two main MC’s Mo and Armin are wonderful together, this is a fade story, no heavy sex scene, but it doesn’t need any. You can feel the connection between these two without it.  The simple touches, the looks. The comradery between all the secondary characters even though most have been thrown in together to figure out and fight the unknown is so well written, it’s amazing. And once you figure out what the ‘unknown’ is. Wow! And really the author keeps you guessing until the very end, will he? Won’t he? Nice touch.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?! What the heck was that? That wasn’t a cliffhanger. I’m not hanging from a cliff here! I’m sliding down the mother-freaking summit to end all mother-freaking summits!!! I understand how Jethro feels because I feel like I’ve been buried under an avalanche of emotions. I’m overwhelmed, yet numb. My mind has been boggled.

Third Debt is an intense series of highs and lows. I don’t want to call it an emotional rollercoaster because there’s not a lot of happiness found within and what bits of happiness do occur are tainted by the darkness that pervades the Hawks. It’s a bad case of whiplash in the very best way. This installment picks up right where Second Debt ended, with Nila’s liberation from Hawksridge Hall. Nila has no understanding of the repercussions her departure will cause and as awareness sets in before she has even left the grounds she tries to return to Jethro but is unable to. As Nila learns yet again that she has absolutely no control over her life, Jethro is forced to face his failure in collecting the debts. Cut’s cruelty knows no bounds, but he attempts to convince Jethro (and the reader) that he does love his son as he offers Jethro an alternative. Yet all are aware that there is no choice being given, rather Jethro’s trading of one cage for another.

As the third debt must be paid, it is obvious that Nila must return to Hawksridge. And while she does so with a plan, she underestimates Cut’s cunning and finds herself in a worse situation than in the beginning. The level of detachment and coldness that Jethro displays in Third Debt exceeds that of previous installments, yet Cut’s cage proves to be an unworthy opponent in the face of Nila’s love. But a woman in love can only endure so much abuse of her heart, body, and trust before that love is snuffed out and the third debt promises to do just that … cut the tie that binds Nila and Jethro once and for all. Yet again I found myself disgusted by the Weaver ancestor’s behavior that led to the third debt. Honestly, I’m not sure whose depravity disgusts me more – the Weaver ancestor or Cut and Daniel. Granted, Kes and Jethro are not innocent in their actions, but they don’t take pleasure in collection of the debts the same way that Cut and Daniel do. And that ending. I have not felt the fear for Nila in any of the installments that I do now for her. I see the Fourth Debt as a train wreck (and I’m not talking about the writing) – I don’t want to be witness to the horrifying events that are soon to become a part of Nila’s life and yet I can’t NOT see them. I HAVE to know what comes next. I have to know if the ending of Third Debt is as it appears or not. I take nothing for granted when it comes to Ms. Winters’ writing and thus begins the countdown to the Fourth Debt AND the Final Debt. Fingers don’t fail me now.

Nila dropped the jumper onto the desk, cupping her breasts. “Does this count as acceptable to you?”

Locking eyes, she undid the button and zipper of her jeans. “Don’t hide from me, Jethro. I can’t stay strong if you cut me out.”

OH! MY!! GOD!!! Pucked was freaking hilarious. The romance is heartbreaking and heartwarming. The sex is unbelievably hot. But it is the massive amounts of humor that Ms. Hunting infused throughout the book that completely made it for me. I chuckled. I giggled (I know!). I snickered. I snorted. I guffawed. I was even ROTBLMAO (B = bed) at this book. You give me a synonym for laugh and I probably did it at least once while reading Pucked.

Violet is a hoot. She is one of those unfortunate souls who is a tad bit nerdy (her opinion), socially awkward, and whose brain-to-mouth (B2M) filter malfunctions regularly. The problem with this is that her stepbrother Buck is a professional hockey player and her stepfather Sidney is a hockey scout, so she often finds herself thrust into social situations that just seem to highlight her B2M filter problems. Well, it’s a problem for Violet, not the reader because we are treated to so much intentional and unintentional humor with Violet’s propensity for mouthing off at Buck and her overall nervousness in social situations. And it seems as though her sense of humor catches the attention of Alex, one of her brother’s new teammates. A teammate whose manwhore reputation rivals that of her brother’s. A teammate who Violet finds herself immensely attracted to yet repelled by because he is a hockey player. But when Alex reveals himself to be more than just a pretty face, all bets are off and Violet gives him a chance to prove that he really does want to be more than his reputation.

Violet and Alex are a great couple. I loved their banter and that they were able to just have fun with each other. That they had chemistry that was only outdone by their sexual appetites for one another was one heck of a bonus because Ms. Hunting can write some REALLY great sex scenes. Their relationship develops gradually and proves to be very entertaining … until the shot heard ‘round the (sports) world. Just friends. I actually groaned in pity for Alex when Violet heard him utter those two words…to a reporter…during a national interview. At least when Alex does it, he does it big (pun intended and an inside joke you’ll get when you read the book). And after such a spectacular failure, Alex had to make an equally spectacular attempt to fix his mistake. I loved that Violet didn’t cave immediately when Alex attempted to apologize. I also loved that her friends and family were there to support her and run interference for her when Alex would try to see her. Thankfully she didn’t have that gaggle of girlfriends who thought that he deserved to be forgiven just because he was a hot hockey player (yep, those characters do exist in books). I absolutely loved the ending, especially the cape – yet another hilarious Violet incident. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I LOVED Pucked. I cannot wait to reread it and I will be purchasing a copy of it for my Kindle library (THAT’S how much I enjoyed reading it).

What I loved was the fact that these two MC’s circled each other for three years before Damon, finally had enough and approached Toby. Toby for the last three years has been coming to Damon’s bar every Thursday and ordering two beers, sitting on the same stool and leaving. Damon had had enough and finally spoke to Toby. After that initial conversation leads to an amazing intense start to a relationship that neither one was expecting but both want. I liked the patients that Damon shows Toby. And Toby’s naiveté towards all things sexual but is willing to try. My only issue was everything felt rushed, considering Toby’s situation, the repeat use of one sex toy (we get it) and then the drama at the end.

This is book two of the Beer and Clay series and has to be read in order.

I loved this book, the sex, the drama, the building of the relationship. What a great mix. We are still focused on Toby and Damon and the brand new relationship as well as the drama that just happened at the bar. Damon is still trying to get Toby out of his shell and it’s interesting to watch the process. We are also introduced to a couple of new characters that hopefully we’ll get their own books. The chemistry in and out of the bed room for these two is amazing. Some of the best this author has ever written. What I’m enjoying the most is, both want a D/s relationship but because Toby has never been in one Damon is introducing Toby to it slowly. Unlike most D/s books I’ve read we’re the people just jump in regardless.  Can’t wait to read the next installment.

With every book series that a person follows, there is always the 1 book that they are looking forward to the most out of the bunch.  That one book that they just can’t wait for, and they have such high hopes for as well.

For me personally, it was this book.  Once Ms. Cariad released the order of the books in this series, as soon as I read the blurb for it, I couldn’t wait for it to be released.

The downfall of having such high hopes when it comes to a book, is that usually you are disappointed in what you get as the final project.

THAT TOTALLY WASN’T THE CASE HERE!!!!

I LOVED the way that Ms. Cariad created the relationship between Deeka and Curtis!  And even better than that, I loved how Deeka knew what she wanted, and was willing to go after it with Curtis as well.  I do think that with how Ms. Cariad wrote the story, and giving the background on Curtis added to it, because that really helped move the story along, and make it more believable. 

Overall, this is by far my favorite of the series, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The rest of the day she spent with her nose in a Curtis Brenten novel. They were riveting. Each paragraph pushed her onto the next, sometimes reading at twice the speed she normally did just because she had to know what was going to happen. Morts-Vivants went quickly, followed by Loup-Garou, Licorne, and she was deep into Farfadet when she heard the front door shut.

 “Deeka!” her dad called.

“Hey, Dad!” she called back, not breaking her eyes from her eReader.

“What’s got you so hooked?” he asked, walking into her room.

Looking up, she grinned. “Curtis’s books. I’m reading Farfadet at the moment.”

“Ahh, Detective Avrahm verses the leprechaun. Obviously you’re enjoying them?”

“Page turners,” she said emphatically, making him chuckle. “I’m not sure which one I like best! He does such an amazing job at weaving in mysticism and reality to where I’m almost believing the creatures exist…and yet like Avrahm, I’m sure there is a logical reason for what goes on.”

“Curt’s a great writer.” He paused, looking deep in thought. “Would you mind if I invited him over to dinner a few nights a week until he gets settled?”

“Mind? Nope! Maybe I can pick his brain about some of the stuff in his books.” Pausing as he turned to leave her room, she said, “Dad?”

“Yeah?” He looked over his shoulder as he paused at her doorway.

“I like him.” As much as she tried to say it without emotion, she felt the tell-tale blush enter her cheeks.

One of those inscrutable expressions crossed his face, which made it impossible to tell what he was thinking. “Deek, I have a very high opinion of him, but the man isn’t from here and doesn’t understand our way of life.”

“I know. And after Mom, I can understand not wanting to get involved with an outsider. But…he’s fascinating, the kinds of things he’s done so far. I’d just like to get to know him better.” Knowing her father would want to be sure she meant it, she looked him straight in the eyes and waited while he gazed at her.

A small smile crossed his features and if she was any judge, it looked as though her father was pleased with her reaction. “Good to know. And it looks like he plans on staying. He says he really likes what he’s seen of Hyacinth so far. Now, finish Farfadet so that you can discuss the reality of leprechauns with him tonight.”

“He’s coming tonight?” she asked, half sitting up.

“Yep.”

“Shall I make another dessert?” Placing her eReader down, she slid off the bed, already slipping her toes into a pair of sandals.

“That would be perfect, Deek. I’m going to throw together a meatloaf. And, so you know? He has a love for anything chocolate.” Winking at her, he left the room, leaving her with a high-grade blush and a huge grin on her face.
