Your Dimension or Mine? by Cynthia Kimball

When Ari Reynolds signed up for an online dating service, she only did it to get her sister off her back about her dateless life. She never expected to be contacted by men from other dimensions or have a demon claim ownership of her through a magical DNA contract. Now that her eyes are open, she is catapulted to Dimension Zeta. There, a powerful Fae named Mayir trains her to defend herself against the mysterious Orion.

Even more confusing, she finds herself falling for Terrian, a man from an entirely different dimension. Terrian promises to help defend her, but when Orion steals something of great importance to her, she must stand alone against him. Can a mere human fight off the magical control of an immortal being who wants her more than anything?

With this being the first book by this author that I have read, I was a little bit weary of it to be honest. I’m not a big sci-fi person to begin with, and I don’t really like the “dating service” books. But I decided that it was time for me to take that lunge and read a new author and genre. I can say that this book completely caught me off guard and I loved every minute of it!
The story starts out with us meeting Ari, who is on another blind date. Her big sister seems to think that she should be settled down and is doing everything in her power to make that happen. One thing that I enjoyed about Ari’s character was that she had a very strong personality, yet it didn’t overtake the whole book or her as a whole. The author was able to balance the different aspects of Ari very well in my opinion.
And that brings us to Terrian, who I am not completely sure what I feel about him. Granted, I think that he did an amazing thing come the end of the book, but I felt like there was a lot left missing from his character. I wasn’t really sure what exactly his deal was when he was first introduced in the book, but come the end of the story I did like him.
When it comes to the story itself, I did enjoy it but I was also left confused and wanting a bit. I still have several questions that were left unanswered. There was plenty of action that was going on during the story, and at some points I felt a little bit confused as to what exactly was going on. But I did still enjoy the book despite that.
Overall, I did still enjoy the book and I plan on reading the other books in the series!
