L.V. Lewis Spotlight!

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY to the second power meets Keisha and Jada from the Block.

If you've wondered how an ethnic girl from the hood might have handled an arrangement with an experienced white Dominant, this is your book. If you'd like to see the sexiest TWIN DOMS in a romance series in interracial relationships, this is most definitely your book.

Aspiring recording studio owners, Keisha Beale and Jada Jameson, score a rare meeting with venture capitalist Tristan White, and are thrust into a world beyond their wildest imaginations.

Street-wise Keisha is startled to realize she wants this rich white man, despite the certainty that he is out of her league. Unable to resist Keisha's sassy, irreverent, and fiercely independent spirit, Tristan knew from day one he wanted her, too--as his first African American submissive.

Upper Class Jada of the Springfield Jamesons has traveled in almost the same circles as the White brothers, and has had a secret crush on Nathan White, the point guard for the Chicago Bulls, for quite some time.

Both brothers have succumbed to jungle fever, and want a little coffee in their cream.

Lured by Tristan White and his offer of fronting the capital for her business in exchange for kinky sex, Keisha finds herself with no other option. Keisha is also tortured by a demons from her past, and her inability to come to terms with them threatens to undermine the future of her business and her tumultuous unorthodox relationship with Tristan White.

Erotic, amusing, and in places hilarious, the Ghetto Girl Erotica Trilogy is a parody with a unique take on a Fifty Shades-type story that will take you even further into the BDSM world, and promises to make the vanilla original Fifty Shades Blacker.

The first two books focus on Keisha and Tristan's romance, and the final two focus on Jada and Nathan's.

I always enjoyed this author’s work and I was rather bummed when I heard she was wanting to try a new genre of writing.  So I jumped at the chance to do the review for this box set.  I loved the Fifty Shades series and was anxious to see if she would thrill me with her version and she didn’t disappoint me. She took two characters that on paper would never make it and combined them for this story.  There were many similarities to the original Fifty Shades but by the end of Jungle Fever this story had taken the plot to new levels of interests and dynamics.
This is the story or Keisha and Tristan.  Meeting for the first time in his office while she is going to see if she and her partner can get financial backing for their new business, she walks in insecure about her knowledge of the number crunch and walked out ready to start a forest fire with the sparks that were going on between them.  Once they got together, she not only had begun a crash course in BDSM she was entering into an interracial relationship.  That was an angle that I was fascinated to watch unfold as her being the African American female submissive and Tristan being the white, alpha male Dom.
I really enjoyed the back and forth banter between Keisha’s little inner voices, Triple G (Ghetto Good Girl) and Fairy Hoochie Mama.  Triple G was all about encouraging the professional independent part of Keisha while FHM proudly wore her Tristan shirt demanding more of the sexual experience she was getting.  We saw that both of the characters had some baggage from the past, but it wasn’t until the end of Jungle Fever that we saw how deeply she was still affected.  When she finally had the courage to utter the dreaded words, she left believing what she had with Tristan was over for good.

The Highly Anticipated Follow-up to Fifty Shades of Jungle Fever!

Ex•it Strat•e•gy (noun) 1. A preplanned means of extricating oneself from a situation that is likely to become difficult or unpleasant. 2. The method by which a venture capitalist or business owner intends to get out of an investment that he or she has made in the past.

Will Keisha and Tristan exercise their elaborate EXIT STRATEGY and end their unorthodox arrangement?

Assailed by demons she thought she had conquered, Keisha Beale has uttered the words to end her tumultuous relationship with Tristan White. Separated, they grapple for a time with their personal demons. However, when their lives apart become unbearable, a credible threat brings them back together prematurely.

As they seek to discover who is responsible for the threats, several seemingly unrelated incidents throw them into a tailspin. Will Keisha’s youthful indiscretions or Tristan’s un-reconciled feelings for a former sub derail their tenuous arrangement?

In the meantime, trouble in Nathan and Jada’s paradise send dramatic ripples that hint of future difficulties in the idyllic pairing.

Nothing Ventured…

Tristan uses his vast wealth and connections to correct a gross miscarriage of justice, while Keisha makes herself utterly vulnerable to Tristan and fears he has chosen to exercise his own exit strategy.

…Nothing Gained!

Will this be the end of the indecent arrangement that became a fairy tale? Or will Keisha and Tristan reveal the trauma from their pasts so they may heal and completely embrace their relationship?

Sensual, suspenseful, and still infused with the riotous levity of Triple-G and Fairy Hoochie Mama, the Ghetto Girl Romance Quadrilogy departs from full parody with a distinctive take on love, loyalty, sacrifice, redemption, and acceptance.

Exit Strategy began after the break up and while I assumed we would see more of her rebuilding herself from the panic attacks, we instead were given a short time before they were back in bed together again.  The author did give us some criminal activity and jealous ex’s to keep the tension high between Keisha and Tristan and his protective control freak side came out in full force, but the whole story felt flat to me.  The same intensity and humor and flair that I had found in Jungle Fever were missing in Exit Strategy.
I felt that as much about BDSM as I have read, one of the leading factors for the Dom is to make sure his submissive was mentally and physically in condition to be able to give full consent.  I didn’t feel he really cared about her panic attacks or to ensure her safety before he went back to the play room.  I was also disappointed that we had to wait for such a long time before a full light was shed on what the baggage was for them.  We had hints and clues as we went, but nothing that was intense enough to keep me guessing or even caring at some points.
I had read that instead of completing this couple’s story with another book the author has now decided to end it with Exit Strategy.  At first I was upset and felt let down, but now I am good with that choice.  I don’t feel I need more of this story and I also felt as if the author was just as done as I was.  Her normal flair and passion that takes the reader to new heights was missing in the last book.  I will always be a fan of hers and will be looking forward to her next piece of work.  I wish her well in her endeavors and I am proud of her for taking a step to try something new.  I would recommend these two books to any reader who loves an erotic read.
