Jesse wanted nothing more than to belong, even if he had to hide half of himself from everyone else.  Something about Caden called to him, to where he went almost “stalkerish” by watching Caden go through the process of checking his mail every day.  Sometimes it takes an act of a person to set things in motion, in Jesse and Caden’s case; it was the act of a dog.

The compassion and concern that Jesse had for Caden, show that even a complete stranger, might be able to help you move past something that you had let take over your life.  Sometimes its the simple walk to the mailbox that will brighten up your day.

While I was reading this book, it almost brought me to tears reading what had happened to Caden, what he had to go through.  It was amazing the strength that Jesse showed to Caden during the process of helping him to heal and move past what had happened to him.  The love between both of the men in this novel, makes you wish that you had a love like that in your life.
