Songs of Submission, By CD Reiss

Songs of Submission

beg, Book 1
My name is Monica. I'm a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I've stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I'll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it's gotten in the way of my career. I won't do it again.

But there's Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

****GRAPHIC LANGUAGE, SEX, AND ADULT SITUATIONS****

In the beginning of the book, you get to meet Monica, who you can tell right from the start that she is a strong woman. She is concerned about her friends and her jobs, and she puts them before herself. Those are great characteristics that are shown in her character.

When you meet Jonathan, he does have the "rich guy" attitude, but it works for him. He knows what he wants and he goes for it. Not being use to a woman saying no to him, he shows his determination and places the bet before Monica.

The sex scenes that take place are extremely hot and well written. There is plenty of the background that has happened before the sex actually takes place; that you are reading an erotica that isn't completely about sex.

One thing that I did completely enjoy about this book, although it has the subtitle of Songs of Submission there is not the in your face amount of submission going on. It's more a behind the scenes type. The ending of this book, will keep you wanting to read more because I can't believe what happened!

I would recommend this book to my friends who are looking for a steamy read.

This book is currently $0.99 US Dollars on Amazon.

 tease, Book 2

When Jonathan was gone I couldn't stop thinking about him, and the first thing he did when he got back was demand more of me. I'm willing to give him my body and my time, but I find myself giving up pieces of my heart.

My career is on track, and even though I can't write a thing, I can sing. So I'll go to the art opening with him, because his ex wife will be there. I feel this need to protect him from hurt, though in bed, his domination brings me to my knees.

This man is going to break me into a million little pieces.

****18+ ONLY. GRAPHIC LANGUAGE, SEX, AND ADULT SITUATIONS****

With the way that the first book, Beg, ended, I couldn’t wait to start reading this book and see what happened next.  In this book, more of Jonathan’s dominate side comes out to play, as well as Monica’s submissive side.  I enjoyed how we were able to “meet” Jonathan’s ex, as well as Monica’s ex.
Being able to see them in the story made it able to put a “face to the name” when they are talked about in the future books.  Kevin’s character was done to the point where you could almost feel the creepy vibe from him.  I wasn’t surprised at all that he did what he had done to Monica.  Jessica’s character showed the typical scorned woman who got what she wanted, but found out she didn’t want it as well.
I enjoyed watching more of Jonathan and Monica’s relationship form, and watching as how Monica’s natural submission comes into play.

This book is currently $2.99 US Dollars on Amazon.

submit, Book 3

"You're mine. The minute I told you to spread your legs and you did it, you were mine. When I told you to beg for it and you did, you were mine. When you put your hands behind your back without being told, I owned you. You never had to say a word. You are a natural submissive."

No. God, no.

My name is Monica, and no matter what Jonathan says, I am not submissive.

So oh my gosh, I thought I saw this part coming, but I sure didn’t!!!  Throughout the first two books, you could see the submissive side of Monica come out, but in this book you learn that she didn’t even realize that she was doing that.  Even with Jonathan telling her, and explaining to her what was happening, she still didn’t want to believe it.
I could completely see the conversation that happened, happening that way.  Most of the time guys don’t seem to have the ability to word things the right way.  The reactions that both of them had in the conversation, was so life like it was amazing.  I enjoyed that part of the book immensely because of the way that CD wrote it.
All in all, I have to say, this series has completely sucked me in and I can’t wait to find out more and more of what happens in the relationship!

This book is currently $3.99 US Dollars on Amazon.
