My Review:

                This was an amazing short that I was not expecting to be as well written as it was.  Jared and Tristan are rent boys, otherwise known as hookers.  They work together, or separately it just depends on what the client wants. 

                What had started out as a job between the two of them, turned into something more for Tristan, he wanted Jared without anyone else there watching.  When the client who started them working as team comes into the club, this gives Tristan the chance to show how he feels for Jared.

                This is the first time I have read anything from the Market Garden series, and I have to say, I was completely blown away.  Although this book was short, I couldn’t put it down and just wanted to read more about the rent boys in general.

                I think that the authors’ were on the right path by writing a series from a male’s perspective in the escort service.

If It Flies

 Spencer is in a rut. Long hours at the law firm are sucking the life out of him, and he doesn't have time or energy for a relationship. He’s lonely, horny, and itching for something new, so he tries the Market Garden, an exclusive—and expensive—brothel. Spencer isn't in the door five minutes before a cocky rentboy makes his move.

Nick isn't just any rentboy, though. He’s a Dom, he’s a sadist, and he’s everything Spencer didn't know he was missing. One night turns into more, and before long, Spencer is one of Nick’s regular clients.

Both men think they’re just scratching each other’s backs: Spencer’s exploring a submissive, masochistic side he never knew he had, and Nick is getting off and getting paid. But as time goes on, it’s clear their strictly professional arrangement . . . isn't, and if Nick has one hard limit, it’s that he doesn't get romantically entangled with his johns. The problem is, while Nick doesn't want to be owned, Spencer’s no longer content with just renting.

 

My Review:

                It was great to read this book, with the BDSM scenes involved, and they didn’t just jump right into the relationship!!!!

                Although Nick is an experienced Dom, when it comes to Spencer he doesn’t just go for broke right away.  He takes the time to show Spencer what it is to be a sub.  Watching as their relationship grows from both sides was great to see.  Nick doesn’t just Dom Spencer; he helps him to deal with the stress of his job. 

                Both of the characters’ were written well in the amount of pages that this story is.  I think that if the story had been longer, there would need to be more development in both of them if this were a full length novel.

                All in all, I think this was another great part of the Market Garden Series, and I couldn’t wait to read more.

If It Fornicates

 Nick is a top earner in the Market Garden, where rentboys fulfill their high-rolling clients’ every sexual fantasy. As a Dom and a sadist, he sets his own price and is experienced enough not to let any client get out of hand. He’s damn good at his job, and it’s easy money.

Or at least it used to be. But now he has a boyfriend. Spencer is a former client, a closeted corporate lawyer, and so beautifully submissive he’s perfect for Nick. He doesn’t even mind how Nick earns a living. He just wants to take care of Nick—something Nick isn’t quite sure how to handle.

In fact, Nick’s clearly off his game these days. Sure, he’s tired from his shift work and his studies, but mainly he’s bored by his clients and distracted by thoughts of Spencer—dangerous for everyone when he’s wielding a whip. Now Nick has to make a choice: give up his independence, or walk away from the only man he’s ever loved.

My Review:

                When we first met Nick and Spencer, they had just come to terms with the fact that they had feelings for each other.  During this part of the series, we get to know them both a little bit more.  We get to learn how a relationship would work between a rent boy and a lawyer.

                My complaint with If It Flies was there wasn’t a lot of character development, but in this book the author’s go further into that.  Which I think is great that they did that, they didn’t just extend the story they were able to add to it a lot.

                They were also able to write in a way that you could almost feel what Nick and Spencer were going through.  The different battles they were both facing, would Nick be able to continue being a rent boy, yet be in a relationship with Spencer?  Or would Spencer want Nick to just stay at home with him and give up being a rent boy?

                By the end of this story, I was so excited for them both that I didn’t want the book to end!  I can’t wait to read more from the Market Garden series!

Overall I would rate this series a 4, because I really enjoyed these books, but I think that the price is steep for how short they all are.
