Zeke Foster has little to no experience with women over the past couple
of years, after being injured in Afghanistan. Brutally scarred, he has
no expectation that he’ll ever find a woman capable of accepting him the
way he is. But he can’t help but be enamored of Ember, the waitress of a
local watering hole.
Ember Norton’s life has turned into one devastating catastrophe after another. When the scarred soldier with the kind eyes brings some security to her life, she’s afraid to trust her luck. She’s been self-sufficient for a long time. But his wounded soul calls to her and she finds herself falling for him.
In spite of the secrets he continues to keep.

Crystal's Review
This series just keeps getting
better and better!! I really enjoyed the
story that JM told us in this book. I
have had a soft spot for him since he made his first appearance, and let me say
that I was NOT disappointed at all with how this book came out to play.
Zeke’s
character was extremely well written. Taking
into account that he might stutter at times, JM thought to add those factors
into the story. The physical description
of him was done so well, that you had a clear imagine of what he would look
like.
Ember
showed a large amount of strength in this book.
She was able to stand up to the person who was causing her trouble, and
seek help for it as well. By taking
control of those factors, she showed that she does have concern for herself and
others. The way that SHE describes Zeke,
you can tell that she cares about him, and isn’t scared off because of his
scars.
All in
all, this was another great book, completely worth the wait!! It’s going to
drive me crazy waiting for Chad’s story next!
This book is currently $2.99 US Dollars on Amazon.
