That's a bad thing for Rico, because to a werewolf like him, chocolate is literally a toxin. After his pack warns him off the very human doctor, Rico finds himself even more drawn to Briony.

Rico can't live with it, and Briony can't live without it. And when a certain wandering wolf finds a bag of chocolate in the trash near Briony's clinic, these two will find out just how toxic love can be.

                Have you ever started reading a book, and the beginning of it was just amazing?  It was written to where you didn’t want to put it down because you wanted to find out what was going on?  And then as you get further into the book, you have to push yourself to keep reading?  Reaching for that “thing” that pulled you into the story to start with?  Well that is what happened to me in this story.

                The beginning was awesome; Dionne seemed like a great character.  She has that sense of mystery about her, and with everything that happens you are drawn into the story wanting to find out what was going on.  But then, the story just jumps.  Completely.  To another character.  And it takes pages to figure out who exactly she is and what she has to do with Dionne.  That confused the heck out of me, and it also bugged me quite a bit as well.

                As the story goes on, there were parts where I just hung my head because it didn’t make sense what all was going on.  Other parts where I had to force myself NOT to skim over; because it seemed like there were a lot of extra words that didn’t need to be there.  It seemed at points where the author picked one word, and used it repeatedly as well.  When I think about the characters, all that comes to mind is the word “chocolate”.  

                The werewolves part of the story, it wasn’t really talked about that much.  Besides the fact that chocolate is as poisonous to wolves as dogs, and that the pack takes in rescues, that was all that was really explained.

                And then at the end of the book, when Dionne comes back into the picture, we are left wondering a lot about her.  This whole book seemed to jump all over, and didn’t make a lot of sense to me.  This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I have mixed emotions as to if I would read something from her again.
