Tyrian's Mist Blog Tour

A soul divided by race and hate due to his breeding, a bloodline born of angelic purity and driven by his vampire lust for blood, Tyrian is a half breed from a union forbidden and feared. He is rescued as an infrant by a Guardian's guide, Daira, who stows him away safely hidden within a valley hidden from the depravity and misconceptions of man and shrouded by mists. In the valley far from humans and among others of different breeds, Tyrian learns that even in the sanctuary with the Guardians, Fate continues to rule his life.

Jaral, loyal Guardian and warrior of his race, accepts the duty of Tyrian's protection. Only, he crosses the forbidden barrier and falls in love with his ward. Although he fights his attraction and love for his charge, Jaral is unable to withstand the desire Tyrian stirs within him. Desperate to ensure Tyrian remains untainted, he faces his Elders and the punishment he is sure to receive.

As Tyrian’s and Jaral’s lives become perilously entwined only the bond of love and an eternity spent within the mist shrouded valley could keep their world from shattering apart. As Jaral's fate as a Guardian hangs in the balance, danger presents itself in the form of two vampires intent on Tyrian's death. Will Fate intervene and grant them a life in the Mists?

He drew in closer, pulled in by the emotion of Tyrian’s stare, and sighed at the sweet scent that enveloped the air. Tyrian’s scent, so erotic and sultry, intoxicated Jaral’s senses. He wanted to taste, to sip the flavour of that rich aroma and keep it within him. Jaral’s gaze swept the fullness of the mouth he craved to seduce. Seconds felt like forever as Tyrian in turn, reached up to touch the outline of Jaral’s lips. Slight shock at Tyrian’s touch sent a thrill through Jaral. He slowly inclined his head. The feel of Tyrian’s lips against his was like cushioned silk, so soft, so full and ripe. Jaral groaned, sinking into the sweetness of Tyrian’s honey rich mouth, and lost all will to stop.

His tongue swept against the plumpness of Tyrian’s lips; tasting and seeking entry. Shivers of pleasure ran through Jaral’s every nerve as Tyrian parted his lips and their tongues met in a spark of life. Soft purring mewls of pleasure rented the air as their kiss deepened. Their rolling tongues swirled, danced and savoured, fusing with a longing of passion that consumed Jaral’s every need. He was in love, and Tyrian meant more to him than that of his very own life. He refused to give up on him without a fight. Tyrian's gasp as he broke the kiss confused Jaral. His mind felt clouded from the heat of their need. They both wanted this, he could tell.

Crystal's Review:

There are many ways that you can judge an author by their writing.  As much as people say they don’t judge authors, they do.  Everyone does.  If the author has a certain writing style that you don’t like, then you are judging them for it.  Some authors use way too many details, some use not enough.  With this being the first book I have read by VL Moon, I was unsure as what to expect from her because of that fact.

I do have to say though, I did enjoy reading this book because there was just the right balance between the amount of details.  There wasn’t too much or too little.  The world that VL was able to create during the course of this book was just amazing.  She was able to describe the world completely to where you could almost visualize the world completely.

The different characters were also written very well in my opinion.  There was only one part that I wish would have been expanded upon more and that was about the Guardians, and how they came about.  But besides that, I completely enjoyed this story.  Tyrian’s story itself was horrible in a great way.  Once you read the story you will understand what I am talking about.  I did enjoy the struggle that Jaral was having during the course of this book as well.  What can I say? I love the drama!

All in all I think this was a great book and I didn’t want to put it down.  You can be sure to know I will be reading more from VL in the future!

Aspiring writer and mother of two, I enjoy nothing more than losing myself to the rather madcap workings of my imagination.

Blessed with some of the dearest friends, I have to admit that its through their guidance and perseverance that I am able to write what I feel and enjoy.

An avid book reader and a lover of long dark winter nights tucked up with a rather fruity glass of red and my partner in crime J T Cheyanne, we aspire to conquer the world with our love of vampires, angels and wolves alike, as well as some mighty fine Gods and a deluge of hot gay romance.
