Unscrupulous, By Avery Aster

Book 2 in The Manhattanites series

At thirty-three, Warner Truman is one of the richest men on the planet, a spa mogul who buys and sells resorts at will. He holds powerful executives' careers in his well-groomed hands. Nothing is beyond Warner's reach...until he meets her.

Stunning, tantalizing and perverse, Taddy Brill captivates Warner's carnal desire like no woman he's ever met. A self-made millionaire, Taddy is tougher than steel, more brilliant than diamonds and, at twenty-seven, she's never depended on a man for anything...until she meets him.

The more Taddy plays with Warner's affections, driving him to erotic heights, the more she is confronted by a dark past. Before she can love him, Taddy must meet her worst fears head-on or risk losing it all, including herself.

We meet Miss Taddy in Undressed, and even though she wasn't as strong in that book, she sure did jump out at you. So I am very glad that she got her own book, and even more glad that we get to find out more about her and her Big Daddy!

Taddy is a strong character who has been through a lot in her life. What would normally knock a woman down, it made her stronger and able to pull through everything. Creating a business in New York is a hard thing to do, and to have it be as successful as her's was, it shows her determination. I enjoyed reading about what she went through and what ended up coming from the trails. And of course being able to read as she first met her Big Daddy was amazing as well! The tension between the two of them was off the charts amazing. And me being a glutten, I enjoyed what all she went through after first meeting him.

Warner is just Warner. I'm unsure of what exactly to say of him because he is just amazing!! Everything about him was done extremely well and I just LOVED him. If he was real, I would so fight Taddy for him. With everything that happened with him in his past, I was really happy that he found something he wanted and fought for it. Everything that happened between him and 'Red' was written with just the right amount of hotness and excitement.

Watching the two of them go back and forth between what they both wanted, and what they thought they wanted added to the story. It made it more real because in relationships there is a give and take. We got to watch as they went through that in this book.

I did enjoy what the two of them went through after they met the first time. While I enjoy 'instant love' stories, Taddy seemed like the type that wouldn't fall for that. Avery is an amazing author that brings a new light onto the erotica/romance writing world. I completely love her writing style and I will continue to read more from her in the future!

Another must read from me!
