Gabrielle and Braden have fallen in love and face a bright future together if they can just survive all of the crazy people they encounter, like anonymous napkin droppers, UFO enthusiasts, crooked businessmen, nude drunk drivers, and a woman who tries to break into jail. When the gavel falls will the verdict be happily ever after?
Come join the fun as the sexiest couple in the Philadelphia Criminal Court System shares more witty banter and red hot lovin’ with a dash of mystery thrown in. The story that began with The Law of Attraction concludes with lots of love and laughter in The Home Court Advantage.
There’s no
reason for me to deny the fact that I completely loved LoA. That book just made me laugh and squirm at
the same time! (That doesn’t happen as
often as people think it does!) So when
the chance came up to review this book, I jumped at it completely!
Now while I completely
enjoyed LoA, I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much. Don’t get me wrong I still loved it, but I
felt like the humor that was such a big part of book 1, just wasn’t there. Now with that being said, this book had a
more serious tone to it. And I did enjoy
that quite a bit, especially since there was so much seriousness happening in
this story.
Ok, now I feel
like I should say, this book wasn’t all serious and drama. There were still quite a few parts that just
had me laughing because they were so out there! (I never thought that aliens
would make me laugh so hard before… trust me you gotta at least read about that
part!) And watching the relationship
between Gabrielle and Braden mature was also really nice to read
about. That was one of the big questions
I had at the end of book 1 was how they would make things work out between
them!
Once again though, I have to say that I was so pleased by
the fact that even though this is a lawyer book, I wasn’t left scratching my
head and pulling out my dictionary trying to figure out what was being
said. That is one thing that I give the
author great credit for, she is able to draw you in and keep you there (and you
don’t need a map). The law stories that
she tells you are so out there, you travel between wondering if they were real,
or just in her imagination. (I will
NEVER walk in front of a chicken costume again!)
If you like smutty books?
You will enjoy this one for sure.
There is enough smut in here to keep the smut lovers happy, but it doesn’t
overwhelm the book like I was worried it would.
It was a complete perfect balance!
Overall, I did enjoy this book and I will be on the lookout
for more to come from this author in the future!
