How I Met Your Father, By L.B. Gregg

**This book contains Male Male Relations**
The man of your dreams could be sitting right next to you.

Former boy band member Justin Hayes isn’t looking for a man. He just wants a quiet, scandal-free Christmas at home in Chicago, out of the public eye. But his best friend and bandmate is subjecting everyone to his destination wedding, and Justin can’t dodge the “best man” bullet. All he has to do is get to the island on time, survive the reunion, and get Chuck to the altar with as little drama as possible. What could possibly go wrong?

Jack Bassinger’s own plans for a quiet Christmas have been dashed by the summons to his daughter’s hasty wedding with a man Jack has hardly met. On the bumpy flight to the island, he finds himself comforting a nervous—and extremely attractive—young man. One hasty sexual encounter in an airport bathroom later, they both feel much better. No one ever has to know, after all.

Now Justin and Jack must find a way to explore their attraction, despite the distractions of disapproving family members, unexpected announcements, an impromptu concert, and an island paradise that proves there’s no place like home.

This book wasn’t at all what I thought it would be and I am unsure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.  While this book was about a group of grown men who are gathered together because of a wedding, it almost felt like a high school drama filled play.

The fights and arguments that were happening throughout the book were just… strange.  Even after I have finished reading the book I can’t stop thinking about how they were all behaving.  But there is the underlying story happening here, we have Justin who has a quickie in the airport with a no-named man.

Normally right there I would stop reading the story, but I just had to find out what was going to happen next between the two men.  Well come to find out, the man that Justin met in the airport was none other than the father of the bride.  I don’t really understand the whole “instant attraction I have to be with this person constantly” thing that was happening in this book, but I still went with it.

I felt really let down because the story is on the shorter end of stories, but we didn’t actually get that much time with Jack and Justin.  There was more going on about the band mates.  In my opinion, I think that the story would have been a lot better to me if the drama would have been cut in half at least.

I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading drama filled books and who like this genre.
