Saviour Tour Stop!!

Lauren has decided her marriage is over, but has yet to tell Jay, her abusive husband of the past twenty five years. On a night out with girlfriends, she has a few drinks and musters the courage to shamefully come clean over the abuse she has suffered over the years.
Gabriel joins his brothers for a friday night drink at a local bar, thirty five, good looking and single after a very brief, failed marriage, all he is ever on the lookout for is a hook up....Even names aren't important to him...Straight sex, no complications.
Watch as their worlds collide, neither of them prepared for the effect each will have on the other. The chemistry is instant and overwhelming and has the possibility to destroy them but will the mind blowing sex be enough to keep them together and overcome each of their pasts?
Their story is sometimes harrowing and heartbreaking and touches on subjects all too often avoided. Don't expect a hearts and flowers romance read, although that is there too, along with some very funny moments

This book wasn’t at all what I thought it would be, in the slightest.  And I think the reason why is because of the cover.  I had a feeling that this book had a slight paranormal feel to it, just based upon the cover, but there wasn’t anything like that at all in the book.
But I still pushed through with the book!  And I have to say that I have complete mixed feelings with the book while reading it and now after having finished it, I still have mixed emotions.  The storyline itself was interesting; Lauren is a 45 year old woman who is leaving her abusive husband.  I give her mad props for that because honestly she should have!  She meets Gabriel and the sparks start to fly.  And I do mean SPARKS.
I don’t really like Lauren’s character, at all.  I’m sure this part will get me into some trouble by someone, but the woman is 45 with 2 grown children.  She didn’t really act like she had children and actually towards the end of the book the only time her children were mentioned is when Gabriel brings them up.
Now with Gabriel’s character, I am in complete awe after what he had been though that he was still able to still have his life the way that it was.  You could tell the feelings that he had towards Lauren almost right from the start.  He really did care about her and was willing to do anything to be with her.
The ending?  Absolutely couldn’t stand it.  I did receive and arc of this book for the tour, but when I got to the ending of the book and with the way it ends, I did actually purchase my own copy from amazon just to see if I had missed something.  Turns out I was completely wrong.
Overall, I’m unsure if I will read anything else from this author in the future.  I just couldn’t seem to connect with Lauren and that made me lose a lot from the story itself.

I was born and raised in a small working class town in Essex, just outside of East London. I am married with three sons and in 2006 we all moved to the other side of the world, settling on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, about 50K outside of Melbourne Australia. It's a whole new way of life for us down here,we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
I am currently a stay at home mum but in the past I have worked at Marks & Spencer, as a classroom assistant/teachers aid and have run my business.
As well as writing, I love to read and have been known to get through four or five books a week. My other interests are watching my boys play football...The round ball version; I am happy to admit to being an addict of social media and I owe a lot to my Facebook and Twitter family in promoting my work; I am also rather partial to a glass... or bottle of wine, a nicely chilled Marlborough Sav Blanc being my favorite. Being a born and raised Essex girl, I will happily admit to be being a big fan of spray tans, Shellac and am regularly, waxed, tinted and sculpted, although I am more likely to be found in thongs/flipflops than a pair of white stilettos these days.
