Gwen has finally landed her first fashion design job, working under her amazing boyfriend, Cole. While her girlfriend, McKayla, is busy with her modeling job, things start to shift in their unique relationship.
Unexpected surprises cause a whirlwind of change to sweep through their once happy lives.
As the people around her change, so do their relationships… When all is said and done sometimes only heartbreak is left.
Just when Gwen thought life was good, she is thrust into one catastrophe after another.
Will Gwen’s life be able to withstand even more turmoil, tears and blood?
Can she fulfill the dreams she has held onto for so long, while accepting new dreams that she never knew she had? Or will everything come crashing down on her?
If you haven’t read Yearning Devotion, then you really
must. Not only to understand this book,
but to also be introduced to a series that is unconventional and thoughtful,
and truly different than other books out there right now.
This book continues the story of Gwen, McKayla and
Cole. Theirs is a complicated
relationship, and things start to shift when their lives start to take off and
they each start to move in their own directions. Life is changing for all three of them; will
it bring them closer together or tear them apart?
First, Gwen…oh Gwen!
She is really such a tragic character.
Just when things start looking up for her, it seems she gets one knock
after another. I just really felt for
her, and I think the emotional connection the reader feels for her is the
cornerstone to this story. Her drive,
ambition and just pure spunk make her one of the best characters I’ve read in a
while. Also, the unconventional
relationship between Gwen, Makayla and Cole is something you don’t get a lot of
in romance, and I loved reading about their trials and tribulations in the
scope of polyamory…which is what I think their relationship would be
considered. And Cole! He’s the sweetest, hottest and most wonderful
book boyfriend. LOVE that Cole.
I have found both of these books to be not only hot, but
angsty and emotional as well. It’s dark
and unpredictable, and simply different.
I really enjoyed this book, even more than the first. The ending was amazingly perfect, too. Perfect. 4.5 stars!
Rachael is a stay at home mom with 2 young daughters and a husband that keep her constantly on her toes. She lives in the extremely hot state of Arizona, where she reads and writes away the blistering heat outside. She is a cancer survivor with a quirky personality. She’s been an avid reader for as long as she can remember and been writing since she was in high school. Her hopes of being a writer were crushed when she was young but one day she decided she was going to do what makes her happy and that was to write.
