My name is Brandy L Rivers. I’m a wife and mother of three with an
overactive imagination. I’ve been obsessed with monsters and magic
for pretty much ever. So I decided to write the stories that keep
me awake at night.

You asked
what Paranormal creature I
would be. I’m assuming that goes for caster types too.
I would
have to say druids, more
specifically my druids. They shift, they cast, and they can do
some pretty
amazing things when pushed too far.
Take Fallon
O’Shea. She shows up in
Edenton and pulls so many amazing abilities out of her bag of
tricks, she
manages to gain everyone’s respect. When Brody, the werewolf
enforcer and
motorcycle mechanic crashes into her, she saves him. She manages
to heal him,
which even surprises herself. Killing the vampires was pretty
much standard for
her. She took them out with a combination of spells and fighting
skills.
Most druids
are faster than most
things out there. They each have their own combination of
elemental magic,
mostly toward earth and air. They have a resistance to most
spells, but cast
some pretty wicked ones of their own. I mentioned they shift
right? Can you
imagine being able to be any animal you wanted? Fallon can
easily shift into a
wolf, cat, adder, hawk and various other creatures at will.
Her
shifting comes in handy in
multiple places, and unlike wereanimals, her clothes stay on
since it’s purely
magic that causes the shift.
Her wards
are stronger than just
about anything out there. In fact she’s a tattoo artist by
trade. She works
spells into the tattoo that protect and even boost some
abilities. Fallon is
also one of the few people who can create mana-blades. They are
magical blades
that are tattooed into the skin and can be drawn at will. If the
caster loses
the weapon, it disappears in a burst of light to go back into
the owner’s skin.
Who wouldn’t want a weapon they can’t actually lose?
Her and her
mentor can both cast
some pretty amazing wards into tattoos. When Fallon’s sleeping,
Gabriel’s
protection brings her ink to life. You can see the trees swaying
in the breeze,
animals move, birds fly. The sky changes from night to day.
These aren’t your
average tattoos.
When it
comes to fighting, Fallon
thinks outside the box. She keeps herself in shape because she’s
surrounded by
Others that can be faster, stronger, and harder to kill than
her. However, she
holds her own blending all of her talents together with quick
thinking to use
her opponent’s strength against them.
She’s also
seen just about
everything, so she knows what to expect by various creatures.
Typically, she
can sense what everyone is. It’s almost like a radar, telling
her what kind of
Other is near. Some creatures of mixed blood are a little harder
to figure out,
but she can usually get an idea of what to expect from the
energy they use.
That’s
another thing she can do. To
enhance her spells she can draw from the left over energy from
Others, and even
humans to create more potent spells. Fallon likes to draw energy
from
everything around her to push more power into her own attacks,
or even
protection.
Druids can
be a force to be reckoned
with. There are various types and different strengths of course.
Fallon may
suck at healing, but there are druids who can heal quite well.
Others focus on
one strength.
So yeah, if
I had to pick a
paranormal type to be, it would hands down be a druid. Though
mages aren’t have
bad either.18+ adult content
Brody is a talented motorcycle mechanic and werewolf stuck in his painful past. On yet another depressing night, he is viciously attacked by vampires.
Fallon is a brilliant tattoo artist with inherent magic. Tired of men and their games, she climbs onto her Harley and leaves her old life behind.
Running for his life, Brody crashes into Fallon and sparks fly. She ends up stranded in the Northwest with her ride out of commission.
With no ride and nowhere to go, Fallon allows her best friend to convince her to stay in Brody’s apartment. He’s determined to claim her heart and keep her safe from the shadows in her past. Fallon prides herself on her independence and would rather keep him safe, even from herself.
With the impending danger from the group of vampires and dark mages, they will have to work together. The closer they get, the harder it is for her to fight her attraction.
Be prepared for monsters, magic and lots of ink.
