Keep Me by Faith Andrews

Sexy, tatted up, underwear model Marcus Grayson is every girl’s dream—or more likely worst nightmare. He’s a player, a self-proclaimed bachelor for life, and he’s got no problem living up to his man-whore status. But when his older sister’s friend comes back from the past, he may just have the chance to turn some of his adolescent fantasies into reality.

Tessa Bradley is a self-sufficient, take-no-bull, single mother—well, now she is. Finally rid of her abusive, alcoholic ex, she’s making a new life for herself and catching up with old friends; the ones she was forced to break ties with because of her controlling husband. When she runs into Marcus, her friend Riley’s once-adorable turned smoking-hot little brother, she has no idea how he’s about to rock her world.

You wanted me then, now you can have me. Just promise you’ll Keep Me…

In Keep Me we have Tessa, her best friend Riley, and Riley's brother Marcus. Tessa has recently moved back to town after leaving her abusive husband and reconnects with Riley, whom she lost contact with after becoming involved with her abusive husband. Marcus is an underwear model and self-proclaimed man-whore who likes to hook up for one night stands with Riley's friends.

"I'd seen this look one too many times. I didn't mean to do it-over and over again-but I couldn't help it if all of her friends were needy sluts."

When Tessa runs into Marcus at her job, he recalls his childhood crush on her and she recalls her friend's goofy younger brother turned stud! We follow their romance through dual point of views. The author did a wonderful job with them. A lot of times I find women are unable to write realistic men POV's however Faith Andrews nailed it. Obviously Tessa was aware of Marcus' reputation and leery that he really wanted something different with her.

There were a couple of things that were obviously going to happen in this book. I guess what disappointed me the most about one of them was the timing. I really had hoped it would play a major dramatic part of the book to spice it up a bit however it never even occurred until 90% and then was just a short part of the book that was quickly resolved. The book was good. It was a sweet romance. For me however, it was just a bit to vanilla. It was a pretty long book for the things that happened in it also. When I saw it was almost 400 pages, I thought there would be a lot of drama and angst in it. I was wrong. It was pretty undramatic and is basically just a sweet romance. If you are looking for a lighthearted beach read, then this may be just the book for you.

*One last rant/note-While the author made it more than obvious that Marcus has had his fair share of one night stands; there was absolutely no mention of protection/testing when he slept with Tessa. This seems very irresponsible to me.

Faith Andrews lives in New York where she is happily married to her high school sweetheart. They have two beautiful daughters and a furry Yorkie son, Rocco. If she isn’t listening to Mumford and Sons or busy being a Dance Mom, her nose is in a book or her laptop. She’s a sucker for a happily ever after and believes her characters are out there living one somewhere . . .
