Knox: Volume 1 by Cassia Leo

From New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo comes a sinfully sexy and suspenseful new series.

Rebecca hasn’t seen or heard from her mob boss father in four years, but she’s about to receive a message from him that will throw her life into chaos. Rebecca thought she left the crime family behind when she went into law enforcement. She never expected to be abducted by a sexy stranger. But this stranger makes an offer too tempting to refuse and soon Rebecca is pulled into one of the most ruthless vendettas of the century.

Knox Savage is the sexy billionaire CEO of Knox Security and a notorious playboy. What most don’t know about Knox is that a large portion of his wealth is made helping high-profile criminals escape justice. He makes no judgments about guilt or innocence. And he doesn’t do it for sentimental reasons. But he’s about to take on a case that is going to get very personal.

Well I found this book on Facebook going around saying it was free so I picked it up thinking that it would be a wonderful quick read during breaks from work.  I couldn’t have been more mistaken.  This short book sucked me in and left me with a cliff hanger that had me rushing to get book two, three and four.
We are introduced to Rebecca who had started a new life with a career in law enforcement.  What she left behind was a father who was the mob boss and a family of crime.  She had witnessed more in her life than most would ever experience in the fictional world of movies.  She was involved with a man August but she was quickly realizing it was going nowhere fast.
After saying goodbye to her friend on the street one day she was picked up by a mystery man and taken to a location blindfolded.  When she was finally introduced to Knox Savage, the CEO of Knox Security, he felt there was more to him than meets the eye.  Could he be the one who long ago stole her heart?
As the story goes she decides it is time to get rid of August and she found herself involved in following the directions of Knox.  When this book ended she was faced with more surprises than even I expected and some truths were revealed.
This was a fast moving story that kept my interest all the way through and as I said, left me demanding more ASAP.  I love this author’s style, she can create clear characters in minimum words and hits you with action from page one.
Please keep an eye out for my review for Knox Volume 2.
