What can be said about
Josh Brewster? Nothing good, that's for sure. Just ask anyone. They'll
be quick to tell you. Josh is a selfish, sweet-talking manipulator who
will charm you in a minute, all the while planning his next move. He
uses. He leaves. All Josh desires is things that come easy. Why actually
work hard for something when you don't have to?
When Josh comes to face to face with a girl who’s doesn’t make anything easy, Josh begins questioning the game he's played so long. He’s suddenly eager to learn how to work for something he never imagined wanting. Can a player really change his ways? Better yet, will his past forgive?
Aidan Turner has had a rough life, a life that has only become harsher as he's gotten older. The scars across his face serve as a constant reminder of the haunting nightmares from his past life. Seeing himself as nothing but a monster, Aidan believes no one will ever be able to look past his flaws.
His reasoning is about to change when his very own beauty comes barreling in, sparking emotions he'd thought he'd never feel. Love sizzles between them, but his friendship with another girl complicates everything, especially after the nature of their friendship becomes confused. Will friendship overshadow his true feelings and ruin both couples’ chances at happiness?

If I had to sum up this book, it wouldn’t be a love triangle, but a
love trapezoid. 4 characters, each with
a connection to one another. It’s
absolutely different than anything I’ve read before.
Aiden has had a really tough life, and he happens to show that on the
outside every single day with a scar on his face. He’s tries to hide behind clothing and
sunglasses, and he rarely lets anyone in.
Anyone except his best friend and neighbor Becca. They share a connection and it’s the one
relationship Aiden takes solace in.
Aiden eventually adds a roommate, and this is where the story really
takes a turn because Josh Brewster is on the scene. He is the antithesis of Aiden. Outgoing, a ladies man…perfect looks on the
outside but dying man on the inside.
When Josh meets Becca. Sparks fly between them. And when Becca introduces Jordyn into the
mix…watch out. Jordyn is the perfect
one, a flawless beauty who finds herself mysterious drawn to Aiden. So what will happen. Will Aiden and Jordyn belong together? Will Becca and Josh make it work despite
their differences? Relationships and friendships will be tested, until we find
out that every single one of us has some flaw that we are desperately seeking
to hide.
The characters in this book were really spectacular. I mean men like Josh are what every femal e
reader loves to hate, but can’t quite bring themselves to. He’s selfish, he’s vain, he’s a jerk…but he’s
a loveable jerk. It was really cool to
see his transformation in this book once he meets Becca. I mean, in romance you want to see a player
meet a woman who changes him completely and shows him what love is all
about. I was really kind of rooting for
them to make it work and figure their crap out.
It’s not easy, especially when you are bringing all of their baggage to
the table, but it was enjoyable to read about.
I think what I really liked was the fact that each character was the
complete opposite of the other. You have
Josh with his good looks but ugly soul, Aiden with his ugly looks but beautiful
soul. Aiden totally won me over in this
book. He was by far one of my favorite
characters.
Overall, I thought this was a really good story. I laughed, I was
somber…I pretty much went through the whole spectrum here. The writing was good and the pacing and plot
development worked. I would recommend
this book to others and will definitely seek out other works by this author. 4 stars.
This was a really, REALLY good book.
There were so many things that I liked about it and only two things that
annoyed me. First, what annoyed me were the two girls – Jordyn and Becca. There
were so many times I just wanted to smack them – especially Becca because she
wasn’t hurting one guy, but two. Thank goodness they finally got their acts
together because I’m not sure that my Kindle could have withstood me throttling
it many more times. EVERYTHING ELSE was great!
I loved both of the guys – Josh and
Aiden – but for entirely different reasons. Josh starts off in the book as a
major douche – but I found myself liking him in spite of it. His reaction to
Becca was amusing to me because he couldn’t fathom being drawn to “someone like
her” yet he was and the more time he spent with her, the more comfortable he
got and the better of a person he wanted to be. Unknowingly, Becca made him
realize just how badly he had behaved toward women in the past and the wake-up
call he got was great. As for Aiden, I loved him from minute one. There was no
need for him to grow on me because he was an obviously good guy; seriously, he
watched a celebrity dance show with Becca because she liked it – that alone
qualifies him for sainthood in my book. As this book is more about each of the
characters coming to terms with their personal flaws, there was very little sex
in the book and what did occur was sensual as opposed to graphic and
appropriate to the storyline.
There is a LOT of self-discovery in Flaw and the fact that the book is told
in two parts – the first part from the guys’ points of view and the second part
from the girls’ points of view – helps make it work. Each of the characters has
to come to terms with his or her own flaws and decide whether or not they could
live with life they led and how their flaws affected it OR if they wanted to
make a change. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and devoured it in one afternoon.
This is the first book I have read by Ms. Ringbloom; she is clearly a talented
writer and I look forward to the next book in the Flaw series.
