When Professor John Dunn
moves to Corbin's Bend, hoping to live the spanking-centered BDSM
lifestyle for which he has always yearned, he gets more than he
bargained for when his brilliant student Sarah Harshaw sets out to
seduce him. Sarah, in turn, gets much more than she bargained for when
she finds herself taken in hand, and loving it. Both John and Sarah know
that their torrid D/s relationship is wrong, but both also know that
they have found in the other a true partner not just erotically, but
intellectually as well.
Will their love survive the trials that inevitably befall it when Sarah's parents find out, and confront John? Can Sarah convince John that she knew what she was doing when she entered his office even though wearing his collar wasn't in her game-plan?

Sarah’s
Tutorial
is the second novella in the Corbin’s Bend series and is decidedly more
BDSM-oriented than the first novella was. In Sarah’s Tutorial we meet Dr. John Dunn who has recently moved to
Corbin’s Bend to accept a position as a professor at the local college. He
hopes to finally be free to develop the Master/slave relationship he longs for.
What he did not expect was to do so with one of his students. To say that his
reaction to Sarah took him by surprise would be an understatement, but not
nearly as surprising as when our virginal college senior attempts to seduce
him.
While Corbin’s Bend is touted as a
spank-friendly community, I will admit that I was surprised at the reaction of
Sarah’s parents when they discovered that their 21 year-old daughter was
engaged in a BDSM-relationship with her professor. Had their objections been
centered solely on the age difference, I would have understood. But they seemed
to far quicker at judging John and Sarah’s sexual preferences (i.e., anal play,
the use of butt plugs, and impact play). As residents of Corbin’s Bend who, by
Sarah’s accounts, engage in domestic discipline, I found their judgmental
nature hypocritical. Other than this (actually small) aspect of the book, I
enjoyed Sarah’s Tutorial. I found
John and Sarah’s characters engaging, especially when they were in “formal”
mode and full manners were on. As would be expected with a BDSM novella, the
sex is HOT and these two are well-matched sexually despite the age difference.
Ms. Tilton has treated her readers
and the Corbin’s Bend series to a well-written and enjoyable read. I am looking
forward to the next book in the series and look forward to spending even more
time in the spank-friendly community. In the meantime, I will be checking out
Ms. Tilton’s other works as I enjoyed her writing style.
