Sweet Temptations: The Babysitter by Dark Inferno

Richard Martin had spent his life trying to be a good man, ever noble and honest . He loved his wife, with a passion, and had never strayed from his vows. However, the bonds of marriage and family are such savoury things for a man with a sweet tooth and for the first time, his eyes were straying towards their babysitter. Young and beautiful, Rebecca was a vision of temptation, and never was anything so sweet as the forbidden fruits of temptation...

This is the first volume in Dark Inferno's sizzling new series Sweet Temptations.

This is a very short story about a man, his wife, the babysitter and temptation—as you may have surmised from the title.
Richard leaves his work’s Christmas Party with his wife.  When they get home to relieve the babysitter, he and his wife are hot and bothered. The babysitter requests his help upstairs, she is tempting, and the question is if he will give into the temptation the babysitter offers or not?
Ummm…I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this book just didn’t do it for me.  The sex scenes could have been hot, and for a short story it really packs in a lot of action, but I found the way it was written to be kind of a turn off.  At one point, a vagina is described as a “vivacious channel”.  Just…no.  No on so many levels.  I did find the dynamic between Richard, his wife and the babysitter to be interesting and a little bit hot.  There’s a lot of promise there.
I’m also not really sure that I’m the target audience for this book.  As a mother of a daughter, the thought of some seedy married guy getting it on with my teenage daughter.  Ew.
All around I just found this book to not be for me.  It didn’t do what erotic short stories are supposed to do, which is turn me on.  The scenario just wasn’t my cup of tea, and I found the metaphors and euphemisms used in sex scenes laughable.   Just not for me, but honestly it’s far from the worst I’ve read. 3 stars.

I will give credit to the author, for 35 pages the author packed a lot of story into it.  The scene descriptions from the party to the flat they lived in were well described and the characters personalities were well defined as well.  This book is what me and my friends call a nooner, short book, easy to read but packed full of hotness.
What is a man to do when he is married to a woman whom he loves and can still be turned on with just her touch yet he also receives the touch and flirtations of beautiful younger women?  It does his ego well to know that he can walk in a room and have any younger woman he wants and then go home to his wife and son.
Richard is faced with this on the night of his office party.  Scarlett tries to get a kiss from him until Alice, Richard’s wife, ends that pursuit.  Leaving the party early they return home and find the young babysitter needs help with her computer.  Richard feeling bad for the babysitter’s living situation made him agrees to go help.  Even though she is over 18, she still lives with her abusive father.  When passion fills the room will Richard be able to turn down the advances of the babysitter and return to his wife or will his desire take over and risk his marriage.
I gave it three stars not because it was a bad book, it was very well developed in those few pages, but it felt rushed and didn’t feel like it had much of a plot.  I read it more as a chapter or one scene from a novel, leaving me feeling uninterested in the end.  I would jump on the chance to read a longer book from this author, I feel it would be out of this world with his style but with this one……it was one night, one chapter, one scene and left me not wanting any more of Richard.
