The Current Between Us Blog Tour Stop!!!!!

**This book contains M/M Relations**

Gage Synclair, international, hard-hitting investigative photojournalist, is preparing for the final special report of his career. A story of deception and murder six long years in the making. After spending ten years in some of the worst parts of the world, he’s ready to settle life down and open an art gallery in his hometown of Chicago.

Trent Cooper, electrical contractor, is surprised by the last minute request for a fast-paced electrical remodel, little did he know he’d be immediately propositioned by the gallery’s owner. Being gay in the construction industry isn’t easy, nor is being father to his two young adopted children. Trent keeps his life in separate zones to avoid a short circuit. Will their high-voltage passion break the currents between them forever?

Review Time:

One of the “problems” that reviewers run into when they have a blog or just write reviews for lots of books is when it feels as though you are reading the same book over and over.  There are some authors out there that have the awesome ability to make the characters their own.  They throw something into the storyline that you weren’t expecting and catch you completely off guard.  But then, there are the authors that just seem to take the storyline and use it without changing that much.

I have read books that fall into both of those categories, and sometimes it’s nice to read something that you know what will happen in the book.  Other times it’s great to find out something new and exciting that could possibly happen!

I have never read anything by Kindle before; she is one of those authors who seem to have slipped through the cracks on my reading list.  After talking to her, I really have NO clue how that is possible.  (I love people with a great sense of humor, although my foot hurts now ;) sorry inside joke there!)  Ok back to my review!

When I first read a tease for this book, I wanted to read it, but it wasn’t one of those books that seemed to jump out at me saying READ ME READ ME.  I got the chance to read this book for a blog tour that I am taking part in.  Let me say this, THE BOOK IS GREAT!!!  I had a total fan girl moment when I sent her a friend request and she accepted it!

So I am going to tell you what I thought about this book, and try NOT to give too much away because it’s that great!

The main characters in this book, Trent and Gage, are great.  I loved their characters to no end, they had great chemistry and just their overall personalities where amazing.  You have Trent, who is a single father to his nephew and niece, both of their parents have passed away, who is doing everything he can to make their lives as normal as possible.  Then you have Gage, who has the money and the fame and the long line of one night stands.  COMPLETE OPPOSITES!

But something happens between them, and they both realize that they don’t want to be apart.  Gage tries to “date” Trent, having never done it before, that was great to read about.  Trent tries his best to put Gage out of his mind; he has a family to think about.

Now usually I don’t write about the secondary characters, but with Auntie Crazy and Ronny, how could I not!!  While there were parts of this story that were serious, they were able to keep us laughing.  While other parts also helped explain a little bit more about the story itself.

“Sorry, I promised Rhonny that I would capture the moment when you first saw one another.  She almost skipped class tonight to see this! She should have, it was greatness.”  Auntie Crazy snapped another picture.”

I swear, it felt as though I was sitting there while Trent was being picked up for his first date!  The different personalities in this story were enough to keep you wanting for more that is a fact.  Just saying ya know.

When you read any type of romance, doesn’t matter what subgenre it is, there is always the catch.  That one thing that always brings the drama into the story.  Because let’s be honest here, there is no such thing as love without drama!  Now I won’t say that what happens in this book would be the “catch”, I’m calling it the TWIST. (Yes in case you were wondering, it has to be all caps)  The TWIST oh my gosh I want to reveal the TWIST so much!  Let me just say, it was not at all what I was expecting it to be, and I am sooooooooooooooooo happy about that fact!  I will say this though; you really should read this book!  (I would say that’s an order but I can’t afford to order yalls around.)

Anyway, overall I think this book was amazingly done, and I am so glad that I took a chance on Kindle and read this book!  Her books are now going on my TBR list and I can’t wait to see what else she has for us!

This book is currently $3.99 US Dollars on Amazon.
