The Wallflower's Collapse, By Michael Loring

A night at the club turns to so much more.

Kathryn was looking for a night of fun – for a chance to shed her wallflower ways and finally gain the confidence she’s always desired. Confidence to speak her mind, to dance like the rest of the club, to talk to the extremely attractive guy by the bar…

Encouraged, Kathryn is finally able to speak with the man, and with him comes a night to be remembered…

I haven’t read anything by Michael Loring before, but I do have to say that after reading this story of his I will be checking into his other works!  This was a short story, but it was still interesting enough that it kept my attention and come the end of the book, I didn’t want the story to end.
Kathryn’s character was very easy to connect with on many levels; and in a sense she reminds me of myself to a degree.  She is very shy and after encouragement from a woman she takes the dive to talk to the guy at the bar.
The ending of this book caught me completely off guard because I sure as heck didn’t see that coming AT ALL.  Don’t get me wrong it was a very good twist, but it was also very strange.
If you enjoy shorter books with an insane twist, you really should check this book out.
