Warning: This book contains explicit language and explosive sex. It is an adult romance and not intended for anyone under the age of 18.
Jessie Adams is the womanizing, lead guitarist for the hottest rock band in the country, Bayou Stix. Seduction is his game. He does what he wants, when he wants, and with whom he wants. Women are playthings, but eventually meaningless sex with groupie after groupie gets old.
Blue Delaney has spent years working nonstop and cultivating her way to being the hottest rock reporter in the business and the lead reporter for Rock Hard Magazine. She’s confident, sexy, and has no time for games.

Blue loves Bayou Stix and is friends with the guys, but something about Jessie pushes her buttons. It doesn’t stop her from wanting him.
When Blue is forced to go on tour with Bayou Stix and cover the band, tensions run high, chemistry is explosive, and Blue and Jessie begin to see each other in a new light.
Their attraction is obvious to everyone but them. But in the end… the question is who’s seducing whom and is chemistry enough to sustain a relationship?

Ok, a book with “seduction” in the title and a warning about explosive sex with a rocker?  SOLD!
This is the second book in the Bayou Stix series.  Bayou Stix is a band and this is the story of the band’s lead guitarist, Jessie.  He’s a man-ho.  Womanizing and enigmatic, he treats women as his own personal sex toys and fills his nights with meaningless hook-ups with groupies.  Then he meets Blue (awesome name!), a rock reporter who has worked very hard to be the best in her career.  She’s serious, she’s confident and she simply has no interest in being Jessie’s next conquest. But there’s just something about Blue that gets to Jessie. They appear to not be able to stand each other, but begin to see each other differently after an incident in an elevator.  When she goes on tour with the band for her magazine, they are thrown together and forced to confront the mutual attraction between them.  The question is, can they turn it into a real relationship or is it doomed?  Who is playing games with whom here?
I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I honestly thought that this book was better.  Skye really has a talent for writing sex scenes, but in this book half the fun was the build up between Jessie and Blue.  Holy hell, it was tense and HOT.  They can’t stand each other, or so it seems, but as they slowly start to see each other differently it totally adds a new dimension to the story.  Wowza…totally hot.
I also love really strong heroines, and Blue is so totally kickass.  She doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap, and she totally calls Jessie out on his stuff.  I thought she was a realistic character, and it was a nice change to have a female lead in a book that wasn’t an innocent being led around by a man.  Blue gives as good as she gets and it’s totally awesome.
I also really loved Jessie.  He is everything that you love to read about when it comes to rockers in books.  Sexy, talented and knows his way around a woman’s body.  Day-um.  I’m a fan.
Overall, this was a well-written and fun read.  I’m a fan of the well done rock band series, and I think I now have to add this series to my short list of rock band books that I love.  Great series and I can’t wait for the next book! 4.5 stars!

Skye Turner is an avid reader and an editor turned writer.

She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University where she majored in Mass Communications, centering her studies in Journalism. Unfortunately life intervened and she made the choice to leave her studies.

She lives in small town Louisiana with her husband, 2 children, and 4 fur babies.

When she's not chained to her laptop pounding out sexy stories she can usually be found playing Supermom, reading, gardening (playing in the dirt), listening to music and dancing like a fool, or catching up on her family oriented blog.

This book had me at “contains graphic sex and language” in the description.  That’s always an automatic read for me.  Throw in a sexy rock star, a whole heap of misunderstandings and true love lost and you’ve got one helluva tale…interspersed with sex graphic enough for a warning.  WINNING!
Alexia is a successful coffee shop owner, and she’s spent the last several years of her life building her business.  One day, Jude walks back into her life.  He’s the lead singer of the super popular band Bayou Stix, and he’s also the man who broke her heart several years ago.  But not all is what is seems, and as they come back into each other’s lives and secrets are revealed, will they be able to let go of past mistakes and hurt and give their love another chance?
Sometimes, I almost feel like if you’ve read one rock star book, you’ve read them all.  Let’s face it, there’s a lot of rock star books out there, so it takes something special to set a book apart from the rest.  I really think that Skye Turner pulled it off with this one, because I didn’t feel like I was reading the same old tired story.  This book has ANGST.  And a lot of hurt feelings that surface as hate, a hate that runs deep but is really just a cover so they don’t have to realize that they still are completely and utterly in love with one another.  It’s crazy!  I have say, I’ve not read a book in recent memory that quite comes together like this one, and I found myself invested and engrossed in it.
My only complaint with the book is that when you find out the misunderstanding that drove them apart and sparked the love/hate between them all those years ago, it was kind of silly.  I mean, it could have been easily resolved.  That did bother me a bit, but I still enjoyed this book and the ride it took me on.  It’s well written with great characters and a good storyline.  4 stars.
