War changes everything . . . even their love.
Bride-to-be Stella Carson can’t wait to marry her longtime sweetheart Marshall Henderson. But Marshall has been away serving his country and after suffering a head wound and being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress syndrome, he has distanced himself from Stella by asking her not to visit him in a Washington, D.C. hospital.
Marshall returns to Louisiana just four weeks before the wedding, but as the big day draws near, Stella wonders if the man she’s loved for most of her life still wants to marry her.

Oh my gosh. WOW. This book is by far my favorite out of the
Year of Weddings novella so far! It is an amazing story, one that many families
have gone through in the past, and will continue to go through in the future.
It was heartbreaking watching Stella go through everything
she was because of the injuries that Marshall had happen to him while deployed.
She showed an amazing amount of strength throughout the whole book though.
Stella was just an amazing character overall.
Now Marshall’s character, while I do understand what he was
dealing with, at times I was very annoyed with how he was acting! I can say
though that come the end of the story, I am glad that he was able to sort
things out and realize what he wanted, and was willing to fight for it.
I really don’t want to say too much about this story, just
because I do believe this is one that you should read because it’s just that
amazing!
