Every Part of You: Tempts Me by Megan Hart

Simone Kahan's been watching Elliott Anderson through her office window for months. He likes to bring women back to his office for late-night trysts, and Simone enjoys her voyeurism until one night, Elliott appears to go too far with his date. The other woman might not be into spanking, but Simone is, and when she meets Elliott in the elevator later that night, she makes sure he’s intrigued enough by her to ask her to go with him to the party he no longer has a date for.

Thrown together by circumstances he’d never have imagined, Elliott isn’t sure what to think about Simone. She’s nothing like the women he normally dates, but something about her draws him in until he can’t stop himself from wanting her…until their goodnight kiss becomes something harder. Harsher.  Simone responds to his rough hands as no woman ever has, and Elliott’s not ready to pursue what he’s always told himself is wrong.

This is the first short book in this series and even though the pages are low, the drama is high.  Megan has given us two characters that we can clearly see and understand their personalities and begin to assume where this story is going.  I look for that in short stories, I need to be invited into the story right away and be able to care about not only the plot but the characters as well and Megan has done that with this first book.

Simone is a woman who is comfortable in crowds, alone or entertaining a few.  She has an easy going attitude and just wants to have fun.  She also craves the kind of sex Elliott does, but how can she tell him that?  After many nights of watching Elliott have sex with beautiful blondes in his office, she knows she isn’t his type but she longs to be under his hands, getting the spanking and the hard sex.

Elliott is a sexy lawyer who is so reserved in his behavior he limits himself when it comes to finding women who would want what he has to offer.  Not knowing how to just have fun, he finds being with Simone uncomfortable, yet there is something about her that attracts him.  There is no way a woman like her could ever desire the amount of pain he needs to hand out when having sex.

This book ends with her once again being the strong independent woman she is and taking charge of getting what she wants.  This is a quick and very enjoyable read.  I have a feeling as the series goes, the scenes will become hotter than they already are in this book and I can hardly wait to jump into the next book to see what it will take for Elliott to accept what Simone is offering.
