Lone Star Holiday by Jolene Navarro

The Prodigal Returns

Twelve years ago, Lorrie Ann Ortega left the tiny town of Clear Water with stars in her eyes. Now she's back home—trying to live right and put her mistakes in the past. Even so, she'll never be the kind of woman who would make a good wife for the handsome widowed pastor, John Levi. But when she agrees to be nanny to his two sweet daughters, she's thrown constantly in his path. And she can't keep herself from dreaming that a man like John could one day love her. Can a prodigal daughter turn into a pastor's wife?

I have not read a book that has inspired my faith in a long time.
Lorrie Ann is a young woman that moved away from home to live the big LA dream. She's a manager to a band, engaged to the lead singer and living the dream, until he puts his hands on her. Trying to heal her soul (and body) she heads home and that’s where she meets John. He's the towns' pastor; his 2 adorable little girls make Lorrie Ann want more than her LA life.  She comes to realize that LA is not home. This is home. And God has chosen this path for her.

This book is very inspiring. It made me reflect on my faith. Very detailed and touching. 5 star review from me.
