I really loved this book; it was full of surprises, fun, VERY hot scenes and suspense.  Jordan was a rather quiet man, dating the friend of Michaela.  While Michaela was engaged, a sudden discovery wrecked the engagement and Jordan became a support for Michaela, as he now found himself alone as well. 

The changes in Jordan is confusing Michaela, until the truth is exposed about his real feelings towards her and then it becomes a race to make his dreams come true.  While Michaela is trying to catch her breath and figure out where she is going from here, strange events start happening that threaten her life.  Who would be out to get her, she couldn’t think of an enemy, one capable of doing the things that are happening. 

Jordan goes into full protective mode and starts making choices for her just as his real life is exposed and all the cards are out on the table.  Now Michaela is going to have to accept that the friend she knew and depended on is so much more.   How can she adjust her views of what she believed to be a middle class shy and quiet friend into seeing who he really is, a multimillionaire controlling alpha male who can give her the hottest sex she has had in her life, not to mention he has loved her for a long time.

Jordan is used to getting what he wants and makes no apologies for doing what he needs to do both in personal and in business.  Michaela is just trying to keep control of her own world, she isn’t ready to give away her independence to Jordan, but the sex is great and she has a connection to him.  It doesn’t help her whole family is all for a relationship with Jordan. 

I really enjoyed the back and forth between these two characters.  When it was discovered who was after Michaela, I was surprised as the author had lead us down many paths of possibilities.  There were times that I laughed out loud at the creative humor the author interjected.  I would highly recommend this book.
