Together, they were on fire. Apart, they’re miserable. Can Simone and Elliott find their way back to each other?
Bereft after Elliott leaves her, Simone is urged to find solace in a non-emotional connection with a stranger that leaves her body fulfilled but her heart still empty. When Elliott learns she’s been with someone else, jealousy prompts him to make a move on her, but passion is no longer enough. He needs to open up to Simone, who’s not sure she can accept even his sincerest apology. A final run-in with his father convinces Elliott he has to make amends with Simone, no matter what it takes.

Wow, I have a mixture of excitement
at how this ends and sadness that it has ended. I will certainly miss
Simone and Elliott but they finally gave us the missing pieces that we have
been searching for in this series.
Aidan is just brilliant as he sets
up a session that will give Simone a taste of what she is asking from
Elliott. By the time she is done she will feel what he does when she
demands him to hurt her. She will see the mixture of control and despair
that he endures doing those sessions. She knows it is over between them
but she still loves him. Maybe it is time to pick up and move, clean
break from not only Elliott but Aidan as well.
We finally hear what drives Elliott
and his actions. After coming face to face with the nightmare he calls father
he realizes what he stands to lose in life. He sees in his father’s eyes
that no matter how hard he has tried to not be like his dad, he has become him
in different ways. Running to Simone to explain and beg her forgiveness
he hopes that he can not only explain but make promises that he will be able to
keep
I loved how this series ended.
It wasn’t highly dramatic but Lord we had drama and diva behavior through the
series. The way Megan ended this series seems to show how each character
had matured during this process and I see it very fitting for an end of
story.
