FOUR WILDE BROTHERS…ONE WILDE COUNTRY BAND
WILDE RIDERS is the first novel in a spicy new contemporary romance series about four sexy brothers, their small-town bar and their local country band. WILDE RIDERS can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as part of the SERIES.
Cooper Wilde spent his entire adolescence counting the days until he could escape rural northwest New Jersey. Now at 26, he can’t believe he’s coming back. But his late father’s bar, Haymakers, is in financial trouble and his older brother, Jake, has asked for Cooper’s help.
Riley Smith, 25, is fresh out of her Ivy League MBA program and wants to make an impression on her employer, H & C Bank. Her first solo assignment is a fraud investigation on a business loan they made to Haymakers.
Even though Old Town is less than 90 minutes from New York City, Riley feels like she’s stepped into another world in this remote, one-bar town. Riley can’t wait to do her business and get back to the city as quickly as her sports car will take her…until she meets Cooper Wilde. He’s not like the other guys in this rural town and Riley feels inexplicably attracted to him.

This book surprised me a bit. I know a few people from Jersey, even rural
Northern NJ, and I think they might be kind of affronted by the description of
rural NJ within these pages! And
everyone knows you don’t mess with Jersey (holla!). That aside, I did find this to be a fast
paced and fun read.
Riley is fresh from her Ivy League MBA program and wants to
impress her employers. She’s sent to
upstate NJ in order to investigate the loan made to Haymakers, the bar owned by
the Wilde family. It’s only 90 minutes from NYC, but it may as well be a
million miles because it’s a completely different world. When she meets Cooper
Wilde, she is attracted to him. He seems
so unlike the types she usually dates, and doesn’t seem to fit the criteria for
the men she has sworn to never date. A
weekend fling seems to open itself up to more feelings, but what will happen
when Cooper’s big secret is revealed?
Can Cooper and Riley find their happily ever after?
First off, I loved Cooper.
He’s sexy, smart and not what you expect at all. Plus, he’s got an alpha streak which is both
intense and hot. I can see why Riley was
attracted to him…I think any woman with a pulse would be attracted to
Cooper. Even though he’s kinda, sorta
lying to Riley by omission, I understand why he did it. His motivations were clear and I think his
intentions were true.
This is a fairly short read, less than 200 pages, but it’s
fast paced and interesting. It didn’t
feel rushed, and I felt the characters were fleshed out well. It managed for a shorter book to maintain
some suspense and well-placed nail biting and drama. I enjoyed it quite a bit and will absolutely
read the other books in this series, which are apparently about the other Wilde
brothers. 4 stars.
Wilde
Riders is the first book in the Old Town Country Romance series that introduces
the readers to the four Wilde brothers: Cooper, Jake, Tucker, and Hunter. They
are from the small town of Old Town, NJ. Where nothing really ever happens.
Except that the family bar Haymakers is in financial trouble. And Cooper Wilde
needs to come home. He never thought he would have to come home; in fact his
plans where to attend college and become a millionaire before he turns thirty
and has been doing so in Wall street. But now, it all must be put on hold. He
has to help his family fix this mess. Once he is back home he finds himself
face to face with Riley Smith... the sexy fraud investigator with H&C Bank
assigned to their case. He is instantly attracted to Riley. And lets her think
he's just a small town cowboy and not a Wall Street God. But when things start
getting out of control he has to find a way to tell her the truth, Will they
find love?? Or will it be over after a wild weekend!!!
This book
hit home. I come from a large family and just reading about the interaction and
sibling rivalry it took me back to when I was still home. I enjoyed reading
about the struggles the family was having and how important it was for all of
them to stick together. Family always comes first no matter how much the big
city needs you. Watching the love between Cooper and Riley develop was very
interesting. It was playful, romantic, and humorous but above all. the love was
tangible!
I’m
ready for the next installment of this family story!!! 5 star to the author. Very
eloquent and very well written.
