Lachrymosa by K.C. Finn

"Their plan is set and it is simple: hold out for as long as possible and try not to die."

In this, the final instalment in the Caecilius Rex saga, the young detective and his ally Kendra Nai return to her home base at Lachrymosa: the location that promises to shed light on the workings of the evil crime magnate The Face.
Also lurking in the smoky shadows of the military mountainside is Julius Cadinsky, a scientist with an awful lot to answer for. What new secrets and lies will Cae uncover at the very end of his investigation?
Will he even survive to unravel them all?

WOW! What an ending to a great series! I’m so upset because I don’t want this series to end! Seriously, this series could have kept going on because it was just that great in my opinion, and there are still so many questions that I want to find out the answers too!
This book completely summed up the great mystery as to who the Face was, and let me say, that was one of the biggest, yet best, twists in a very long time. With the way Ms. Finn was able to trip you up all while reading this great series, is just something to be amazed about.
I’m very glad that Cae was able to find the answers to his past and his future in this book. A lot of information was given, that if you don’t follow closely, you could end up lost. I also liked how Kendra was able to find out answers to hers as well.
I really don’t want to give away too much from this book because the story is just incredible, and I’m afraid I’ll give away spoilers. I completely recommend starting this series because its one that is just amazing!
