Her Men by Ashley Ladd

Julie has never forgotten her men Timmy and James. When she gets a second chance to rekindle the romance at their reunion, she can’t choose between them.

Forty-four-year-old Julie Weston has loved Timmy and James since her college days twentysomething years ago. She’s fantasised about both men all these long years, never able to choose between them.

She attends their college marching band reunion, hoping Tim and James will go too. When both men show up, her dreams are answered. They’re sexier than she imagined and she prays that they won’t be disappointed by her older self.

It turns out both men came just to see her again and neither is happy about the other man’s presence. They fight over her, confusing her more than ever. It takes a hot ménage—or two—for her to decide which one she’s in love with.

I was a little let down by this book.  I was expecting it to turn out one way and it didn’t which was kind of disappointing.  The book involves a fantasy many of us have where you get to reunite with an old flame and see if the sparks are still there after many years.  I really liked Julie but was almost a little put off by the fact that she needed her best friend to coach her and her love interests through the whole book to find out who she was meant to be with.  Julie is a former FBI agent and a Sherriff to me it would seem like she should be able to make up her own mind and know a plan of attack.

Timmy and James are both equally sexy and seem to care about Julie but have their own issues they need to work through before they are ready to totally devote themselves to a new relationship.  This is novella so the plot develops and resolves fairly quickly and a little too easily for my tastes but still well done.  The ending is short, sweet and gives the reader enough closure.  Overall a steamy book with lots of sexual tension and fantasy.
Ashley Ladd is a disabled Air Force vet that is hard of hearing but still loves language, especially the written word. She loves a sexy man, especially one with a military background and they’ll often pop up in her stories. She also loves cats and has been known to empower a cat with the gift of speech. Unfortunately he wouldn’t shut up. J She loves to plug into Pandora and sip Diet Coke while writing, usually with a cat or kid at her side.
