Even though this is Jace’s tale we have lots of players
involved. Jace is a twenty five year old wolf shifter with a chip on his
shoulder and a crush for a guy that he is pretty sure his is mate, Louie.
Louie, is also a wolf shifter in the same pack and also secretly in love with
Jace, but neither one is willing to speak up in case of rejection. Jace was
found and adopted by the pack leader and his mate when he was just a new born
but has never felt like he’s belonged even though everyone has tried. Until one
day Jace is out running and catches the scent of another wolf, not belonging to
the pack. Louie also happens to be out running and go to defend Jace. But they
find out that this new wolf is Jace’s long lost brother. Can Louie and Jace
sort out there feeling before Jace leaves? Is Jace leaving?
So over all I really enjoyed this story. I liked the fact
that even though Jace and Louie knew they were mates but decided not to
act/tell each other they were and also didn’t go sleeping around either. Like
you read in so many shifter books, even at the age they are. Also that they waited
for the ‘mating’ until they got to know each other on a more personal level. I
liked that Jace felt remorse for the way he treated the pack and wanted to make
amides. The big thing’s what stopped me
from giving this a 5 is why? Why didn’t Louie say anything? I get Jace even
though at twenty five and everyone being accepting, drop the chip already. And I didn’t feel a big over all connection
between everyone. Lastly, it left us with a cliffy. Which is going to force the
reader (me) into reading in order and or give us pages of previous books flash
backs. Both of which bother me. A lot.
Being a Dom in

In the past, his trysts with his subby lover, Kip, have been in secret, snatched moments away from security cameras or listening devices. Now they’ve been welcomed at Highgate, a safe haven, life should work out beautifully.
But there’s something Vann has to do first. He has to return to his childhood compound to right the wrongs that were done there. Along with Kip and members of the Highgate security team, Vann has to play the biggest role of his life so far in order to bring down the alpha at Crossways and rescue some cross-bred cubs. It isn’t going to be easy, going against someone he’s been conditioned to obey, but for the sake of his pack and the safety of the cubs, he’ll do whatever it takes.
Kip is determined to be with Vann every step of the way. Usually, Kip is submissive in all aspects of their life, preferring to bow his head and only speak when he’s given permission. But their return to Crossways changes all that. The danger there is too great for Kip to wait for Vann’s instructions on everything he does. Kip knows that to keep Vann safe, he must become more dominant—or die trying.

Book two, Vann and Kip’s story mainly, we start up right
where we left off, a plan in motion to rescue Vann’s family and Kip’s half
siblings from the evil Alpha’s brother in which Vann and Kip escaped. Vann is a
nervous wreck but Kip, his sub and mate has a calming effect on him, which helps
Vann focus to get the job done. Kip on
the other hand is releasing some built up anger that no one knew he had towards
the brothers because of the treatment and death of his mother, the children and
himself. Luckily now that the relationship is out the D/s side of Vann and Kip
and is public and help center both, or can it? Can these two finally find
peace?
We met these two in book one and learned a little about
them, so being able to develop that relationship through a second book helped
like them better, understand them and the dynamic they share. Just like book one, we have a lot of players
and that list grew when we got introduced to Caleb and the families. But the
author does a good job keeping you engaged with the story and there rolls so
not to get overwhelmed. We also have a great follow through, after the fight
how Vann and Kip are settling in to a normal life not ruled by a dictator. And
unlike book one this one wraps up nicely.
Keeping secrets can sometimes be a very wrong thing to do.

Sergeant, Dillon’s partner and pack alpha, takes the decision out of Dillon’s hands. The stranger looks like a wolf they know from Crossways, and he’s disoriented and doesn’t seem to know his own name. Something’s very wrong, and Dillon intends to find out what’s going on.
The stranger turns out to be just that—a stranger and no one they know at all. When the horrifying fact comes out that the stranger has had his face surgically removed then replaced with another, Dillon’s terrible past comes back to haunt him. The government agency he used to work for think he’s disappeared for good—or do they? Have they found out where he lives now? Do they want him back on their books as a spy?
Dillon can’t go back—no way, no how. In order to remain free and at Highgate, he has to work out a plan that will keep every single pack member safe. But most of all he must protect Sergeant, the love of his life and the one man he’s told all his secrets to.
Or most of them, anyway…

This is book three in the Highgate Shifter series, and even
though book two did not end in a cliffy, you still need to read in order.
This one is about Dillon and Sergeant. Sergeant is the
Highgate pack Alpha and Dillon is his mate, they’ve been together for years.
Sergeant has always known Dillon had a past, one he wouldn’t and couldn’t talk
about. But when that past comes knocking on pack doors it’s time to come clean.
Dillon always knew that one day no matter what steps he took his past would
find he, now it has and the choices are clear, stay and fight or run? Or will a
woman scorned make the choice for them?
These two have played a role in both previous books, so
we’ve grown to know them. However, I still didn’t get a strong love connection
between them, couldn’t feel any chemistry? However, this one is action packed
and keeps you guessing on who wants Dillon dead pretty much through the whole
thing. And to me that made up for the lack of everything else.
