One locked safe, a troublemaking tattoo, and two determined people… add up to unlocked secrets and a love that just won’t stop.
Luke “Lucky” O’Conner is a committed bachelor. His motto…“Nobody’s getting this Lucky.” So when Kaley Harlow walks into his tattoo shop and somehow leaves with the only record of the numbers to his new safe tattooed on her sexy little hip, Lucky’s motto is threatened. If he wants to see those numbers again, he has to get close. Closer than he’s ever gotten to any woman. And he has three weeks to do it.
Kaley Harlow, a happily washed-up former child star, is out to ruin her reputation. She’s through with people looking at her like she’s still that innocent little girl in pigtails. Not to mention, her agent has just signed her up for a movie contract. But, really, all Kaley wants is to start a new life and finally go to college.
When Lucky happens into Kaley’s life for the second time, the hot, tattooed badass is exactly what she needs to sabotage her image. But this badass has a secret, one that could ruin more than just Kaley’s reputation…

Tattooed?
Bachelor? I'm there! At first I had a hard time getting into this book but by
the time I hit Chapter 2, I couldn't put it down. Finished it in one
sitting.
Lucky
has had a rough life, but he's made a life for himself and is living his dream.
Kaley is trying to get out of a contract she was suckered into, but she doesn't
expect to have the biggest, sexiest badass of them all walk in to finish her
tattoo she was using to break her good girl image.
I
absolutely fell in love with Lucky from the get go. His take no shit attitude
and just the HOT way that he conducts himself. Kaley grew on me as we learned
about her background and why she was in this contract.
I
don't want to give away anything that happens but it's absolutely a good read
and HOT even though I think there was only one actual sex scene. From how much
I loved this book I really want to pick up the other books in the series.
The
only reason it wasn't a 5 for me is sometimes the POV jumped around a bit and
it could be a touch distracting.
Can
I be Nobody? Please? But seriously, where can I find my real-life Lucky?
Luke
“Lucky” O’Conner is the perfect alpha male bad boy – he’s all tatted up, sexy
as sin, protective, and has a heart of gold. Kaley Harlow compliments him
perfectly as a former child-star all grown up, who is trying to get out of a
movie contract she was tricked into when she was younger and she attempts to do
this as she sheds her reputation as a goody-two-shoes by taking a walk on the
wild side – the first step being to get a tattoo. Although the initial tattoo
artist turned out to be a bad idea, when Lucky is forced to take over the
chemistry is instantaneous between the two. Interestingly, Lucky has to record
the combination to his new safe before he forgets and because the situation
with the now-fired tattooist kept him from doing so in an appropriate place,
Lucky is forced to improvise and works the numbers into Kaley’s tattoo. While
the two were definitely putting out some heat, Lucky has seen enough nice girls
to know that Kaley isn’t the kind of girl he should be messing with, so he
writes the combination down once her tattoo is finished and sends her on her
way. The combination (pun intended) of Kaley’s tattoo’s secret and Lucky’s
indiscriminately cleaning cousin who throws away that slip of paper sets the
stage for the rest of this amusing, heartwarming, and sexy romance.
While
Lucky Numbers is the third book in the TroubleMaker series, it can be read as a
stand-alone. That said, after meeting Lucky’s cousin Dusty (from book one) when
he and Kaley go to Texas for a visit, I do intend to go back and read the other
two books in the series as I enjoyed Ms. Gendron’s writing style and love the
characters she creates. She made me laugh, fall in love, turned me on, broke my
heart, and kept me entertained the entire time. Lucky Numbers left me with a
literal smile on my face and was just what I needed – it has definitely made it
onto my re-read list.
“Here,” he said, handing her a business card.
“Text me your address, and—”
“Address?” Her heart kicked up a
notch.
“Yeah, tomorrow’s my day off. I
won’t be at the shop. I’ll come to your place, say, around one?”
“But—” she tried to argue.
“Now,” he interrupted,
disregarding her feeble attempt at a protest, “I’m gonna shove off, but before
I go…” He pulled her against him, secured his arms around her waist, and gazed
down into her eyes. “Let’s do this.”
“What?” Her heart hit the gas,
sped up, and was ready to leap out of her chest, skid right past him, and end
up somewhere in the middle of the street.
“Like I keep sayin’, those big,
beautiful eyes of yours are nothing but a couple of tattletales.” His husky
tone stroked her everywhere as his arms tightened around her. “Kiss me, Kaley.”
His head moved downward. “We both know you know you want to.” He bent closer,
his tempting mouth nearly brushing hers. “And I’m not going anywhere ‘til I
give you what you want.”
His last few words were enough to
push her through the space between them, for her lips to fall onto his. He was
right. She did want to kiss him, and when their lips finally locked, that kiss
was nothing short of amazing. His mouth wasn’t just tempting to look at. He
knew exactly what to do with it. Against his warm, strong lips, feeling his
moist, thick tongue, Kaley had forgotten that they were standing on a street in
downtown Burbank. No longer could she hear the cars whizzing past them or the
people walking by. All that existed in the world was Lucky and the spell he
casted over her with that kiss. Only when he pulled his head back, breaking
their connection, did everything around her swirl back into motion.
As Kaley caught her breath, Lucky
gazed down at her from behind a curtain of long, thick lashes, his hazel eyes
sparkling with reckless naughtiness. The tip of his finger touched her tingling
mouth. He slid it downward and gently pinched her chin. Lifting those heavy
lids, he looked at her with that sexy little grin. “Until tomorrow, love.” He
bent down, stole one last kiss from her wanting mouth before he turned, and, as
he had called it, “shoved off” down the street.
