Innocent Lies Tour Stop!

Most would view Dylan’s life as a living Hell, but she discovered what Hell really was.

Twenty year old, Dylan was minding her own business when twenty-six year old Ethan sat down at her table. All she wanted was peace from her past. He offered her the protection and calm she had never known. That was until she learned how much of that past he was a part of.

If life had taught Dylan Summers anything it was that not everyone gets a happily ever after.

OMG what did I just read and did she really leave me with a cliff hanger that has my heart breaking and my face wet with tears.  Why yes she did, this author wrote a story that not only had me spell bound through the whole thing, she had me trying to find the next pages to this story even though I knew they weren’t there.
Dylan Summers has really been to hell and back and I don’t think her hell is over yet.  After her father died when she was young, she faced that her mother blamed her for her daddy’s death.  Emotionally crippled after her husband died, Dylan’s mom gave up and turned to men and drugs to find relief.  One man ended up giving Dylan to some drug dealers in exchange for the money he owed.  Being raped and tortured for four days, she was rescued by a camper and help was sent.  Dylan is now in college, trying to forget the past, focus on the future and learn how to not go numb when a man approaches her, that is until Ethan.  There was something about him that made her feel connected and alive for the first time in five years.
Ethan was a lawyer; he was also an egotistical sexy man who knew he could have any woman he wanted.  But that was just the surface of this man.  He carries secrets that will cut you open and rip your heart out.  He wants Dylan and he is determined to get her but all of that change as she slowly starts to see the real Ethan. His family is the definition of dysfunction, it is a wonder he is even alive to be honest.  His career was not a choice on his part, he is controlled by the one man who was supposed to love and protect him.  Now he is trying to protect the one thing that goes against the loyalty of his life. Does he even have the courage to fight for his right to make his own choices?  One night, while he sleeps she sees evidence of who he is and that starts this snowball effect that left me emotionally raw and waiting for the next book.
I have read some of this authors work prior to this book and I always believed she was a great writer, but I had no clue she had this brilliance inside that head of hers.  She took characters and developed them into human beings, faults, qualities, mistakes yet she made them real.  I actually forgot I was reading fiction at times because they jumped of the page and cried for my attention.  While some of the plot would be considered dark, I felt this was more of a mind twisting book for the reader.  Just when you felt you could relax and enjoy the relationship of Dylan and Ethan, more truth came out and you were devastated once again.  I so recommend this book, I will be counting the days till the next one comes out because I will not be settled till I know what happens next.
J.W. is a stay at home mom with 2 0n-the-go kids, an amazing husband, and 1 lovable dog. She lives in a small town in Tennessee, where she enjoys writing, reading, and talking. She was told from a young age that her dreams of writing were ludicrous. However, after a talk with her daughter she pulled out her old laptop and rediscovered her desire to tell stories. She doesn’t consider herself an author, more a teller of tall tales.
