Sawyer says…
Casual flings are the only way to go.
Everyone you trust eventually leaves.
Falling in love is for anyone, but her.
What else would she say when all she knows is loss and abandonment? Sawyer Sterling learned too young that depending on anyone else will get her nothing but heartache in the end. Never shying away from outwardly showing her love, she struggles accepting it herself. Stubbornly, she vows to never risk her heart.
Dealing with revelations she never saw coming, her impulse is to distance herself from emotional entanglements. When her past collides with her present, can Jared Keller help prove to her just how wrong her assumptions are? He is the exception to her argument that everyone leaves. Will she ever see him as something she deserves?

Sawyer
Says is
a spin-off of sorts from Him and Her as it’s Sawyer’s story. I have to
say that I absolutely adored Sawyer in Him
and was so excited when given the opportunity to read and review this book. Ms.
Heywood’s writing was just as solid this time around and I must confess that I
enjoyed Sawyer Says even more than I
enjoyed Him and Her.
Once you get
past the heart breaking Prologue, the book opens with Sawyer coming to terms
with her oldest friend being her new roommate and her sudden awareness of just
how hot Jared is. Fortunately for the reader (and Jared), Sarah plants a seed
in Sawyer’s head regarding Jared, thus leading to some seriously hot wedding
sex … whew. And I will confirm that the level of heat never goes down because
once these two acknowledge their attraction for one another, well you might as
well have poured gasoline on that fire. These two together are H.O.T! And while
there was plenty of Oh! My! God! Sex, this book was about so much more as
Sawyer learns about herself, her grandmother, and the friends who love here.
Sawyer Says is an excellent tale of self-discovery as secrets
are revealed that force Sawyer to reevaluated major parts of her life. That she
got to go on that journey while in the company of Jared just makes her one
lucky woman. I thoroughly loved this book and look forward to reading more of
Ms. Heywood’s work. Sawyer Says is an
excellent spin-off from the Him Series and can be read without having read Him and Her.
