Cowboy In My Pocket by Kate Douglas

Romance author Michelle Garrison is on a mission to learn more about the American West. Her books are no longer selling and her editor has given her an ultimatum--learn what cowboys are really like, then write the next bestseller.

Tag Martin is desperate for a bride. If he doesn't marry before his 40th birthday, his grandmother will sign away the deed to the ranch he's worked and managed for his entire adult life.

Coop Jones has been Tag's sidekick since Tag was barely kicking. Almost 80, he's been pining for the love of Tag's grandmother since she was only 17. An avid romance fan, he's concocted a fantastic plan to stage an MOi-a marriage of convenience for the uninitiated--in order to save the ranch for Tag.

Lenore Martin at 78 is a widow with a mission. Get that grandson married and his hard-headed cowboy sidekick to realize she's not too old to romance. There's sizzle left in the old gal yet.

Add a little amnesia, a few white lies, a flop-eared dog, the requisite white stallion and a love too hot to handle, and you've got a rowdy romp on the wild side with COWBOY IN MY POCKET.

Let me start by saying that I love cowboy/western stories. And this book did not disappoint me!!!

Michelle is a romance novel writer whose last couple of books have just not made the cut. Her latest stint at writing a western has not turned out too well and her editor has sent her to do some "cowboy research".

Tag is a cowboy in need of a wife ASAP!! His grandmother has made it impossible for him to gain full ownership of the family ranch. That is unless he finds a wife and starts a family.

As Michelle heads over to her research she has an unexpected accident. One which makes her lose her memory. In less than a few hours she has lost her memory and is now set to marry a cowboy she barely knows. But somehow she seems to trust. Since she doesn't remember her real name she makes up one. Lee Stetson. What it's supposed to be a marriage of convenience soon begins to turn into something else? "Lee" falls in love with Tag, but once she remembers her real name, can this cowboy really love this city gal!?

I loved loved loved that this book was based on an author’s life and struggles as a writer. It is hard to come up with plots and characters and sometimes you do have to so just a tad of extra research. Every character in this book was amazingly described. There were 2 main characters but the secondary characters were perfectly in tune with the story!! This book deserves a 5/5 rating and will look forward to reading more from this author!!
